So, we just picked up an 11 for the wife and I want to do a few things. Euro switch (out of stock at ECS currently) and maybe some brushed pedals.

I see ECS sells the kit with dead pedal, brake, and gas assembly for close to $200.]

I see there is an ebay listing for the set but the gas pedal is just the top cover portion. Looking at the pics, the clips seem too long on it compared to the one ECS sells.

Anyone tried this? What years Golf, Jetta, or Passat pedals are the same including the gas pedal?

Heres another listing with a kit that includes the whole top pedal piece with instructions to remove it from the gas pedal assembly?

Buy the GTI pedals from the dealership, they're plug and play, and OEM fit and finish... dead pedal fits too.

You can also buy these pieces from oemplus.com

Make sure you specify either auto or manual... depending.

    Yup.

I've confirmed with OEM plus that these are plug and play in the tiguan... technically the tiguan is a MK5 anyhow.

I've got these for my CC.

I've heard the dead pedal from the mkvi gti is too small for the passat/cc.

I think I will order the kit from ECS and if it doesn't fit I shouldn't have much trouble returning it.

    You should be totally fine.

The gti pedals do not fit the passat, but are fine for the tiguan.

Tiguan seems to be an oddball mix of parts from various generations and body styles.

I've purchased the same kit that ECS sells from the dealership. I can tell you that the accelerator pedal on the tiguan is not the same as the aluminum pedal.

The posts that hold the pedal down on the brushed aluminum accelerator are a lot shorter than the oem ones, so it's not as secured as you would like. But with that said, i don't have any issues so far. As well the top portion where the connector that plugs into the accelerator is not fully covered like the oem tiguan pedal

Ok, got everything to fit. Dead pedal and brake fit correctly. Gas pedal fits but is not exactly locked into place. Can't get the taps on the bottom to lock onto the stubs on the floor.

Here is why (stock Tiguan on the right, ECS on the left, which is a GTI one)....

I bought my euro switch from a guy in China on eBay. I think it was $30 and it's not a fake. It works great.

    Interesting.

Can you swap the actual pedal from the base in order to retain the tiguan fitment?

No, the stock pedal is mounted to the base via a pivot pin and the brushed is mounted to the base via a small channel/tab setup.

I was told the 2012 Tiguans come stock with brushed pedals and the part number for the gas pedal is 1K1-723-503AN.

The part number I got from ECS and which is for the GTI and Jettas is 1K1-723-503AK.

Guessing the pedals are the same other than the slightly different mounting to accommodate for the thicker sound deadening in the Tiguan floor. They are going to order me that part and have it shipped to me to test fit.

Cool, but I have a 2012 Highline / SEL, no stainless pedals?

    Edit:
2012 R Line comes with stainless.

Maybe the same pedal you were quoted?

Ok, got the new pedal and THIS is the correct one for all Tiguan and only for Tiguan...

GTI on left, Tiguan on the right. Has the extended legs so it locks in place properly:

New Tiguan specific on the left here. You can see it has the extra portion like the stock pedal:

Part number. VW lists it for 2012 Tiguan but it fit our 2011 perfectly. It has to be bought seperately and isn't part of any kit:

Think he picked up a set which included the GTI pedal.
The brake and dead are a direct fit.

I'm surprised the dealer was able to get that SS tiguan pedal?? I think it's from the R Line.

Not sure why the US dealers have it, might be part of their accessory catalog or something. I ordered it through ECS as part of an exchange.

Wait, confused, did you buy the 1K1-723-503AN (tig specific) pedal at the dealer or through ECS?
