Hey folks. I've got up for trade my 20th that I've owned for a while now. Everything works perfectly and the car is in great shape, but I'm just trying to get into something a little bit different. I would prefer trades before anything else since I need a car. I'm very interested in MKIV Jettas and GTI VR6s, and Passat wagons. Willing to consider other trades as well, big Euro fan. Can possibly add a little bit of cash on top for the right car.

Car has been well cared for. Currently at 105xxx miles.

-Control arms replaced at 104k miles
-Synthetic oil changes every 5k miles.
-T-belt/Water pump done at 88k miles.
-No turbo whine or clutch slippage

    Mods:
-Full 3" exhaust with a recently replace downpipe
    -Lowered on springs
    -Tinted windows

    Bad:
    -Crack in front valance
-Don't have stock Aristos. Sold a while back due to upstate New York snows not allowing me a chance to ever use them, and they were taking up space

Located an hour North of NYC. PM or leave a post here if interested.

    Can take more if needed

Any idea what the repair work would be to fix the crack?

Also, would you be willing to meet somewhere close to half way or something? I live in MD.

It looks to me like it'll take some sanding down and remolding to the bumper. Looks like it will probably need to be painted as well. All in all, I don't think it should be too much work, I just haven't had the chance to do it (nor the skill). And yes, for the right deal I'm willing to travel a reasonable distance.

Was basically wondering if I should be expecting like somewhere in the $200-$500 range or like $1000+ to get it fixed.

I've been quoted 250 for a new valance + 150 for painting, so I would expect less than that to fix.

Any way you can take a few more? Like of the tear you talk about in the first post. And the back seats/boot area in general?

    Thanks,
    Aditya

Yes, I will. I'm away in Cape Cod without my car until Tuesday, but once I'm back, I will have pics taken.

UPDATE: Have a friend who knows how to fix up this bumper possibly. May very possibly be taking care of it next week when I get home. It seems the tabs aren't actually broken, only an issue with the crack, keeping the valance bent away from the bumper. Going to apply some adhesive front and back, wet sand and repaint. Will keep updated.

Bump with a price drop to 7.5k. I'll have pics of the interior uploaded tomorrow. She's currently in the shop fixing an issue with windshield wiper fluid sprayers not working D:

I'd really like to get a trade for a MKIV with relatively low miles plus some cash on your end. I need a DD, and as much as I love the GTI, I really want a road bike. :3

Will keep an eye out for those pics. Where in NY are you? I'm looking for something similar.

Back from Australia bump. Looking to trade before going back to school, if not it'll wait until the summer.

Have not been able to fix crack yet due to being away. If not traded soon, will hopefully find chance to fix during the semester
