    SOLD

I sold the RS' and lowered the price considerably.

Bought a new car to daily, so offers are encouraged. Interested in a bag setup for a B5 A4 Quattro or paint work. Or other weird stuff. Cash works too, Looking for around $2900 with a little wiggle room if I sell outright. Can include various motor swaps. I've got some whack rollers on it currently but will keep my eyes peeled for a set of RAs or teardrops or something OG to the car.

Car has somewhere under 300xxx. Original odometer stopped working late last year at 270k, replaced with a different unit that reads 221k, odometer in it didn't work either though .

Car has been taken care of. MFA still works, cruise control still works, Recaros are in great shape, doesn't have many typical MK2 quirks (sunroof closes fine, all door handles work, blah blah blah)

New parts within the last ~9 months

    Tires
    Adapters
    All wheel bearings
    Front hubs
    Tie rods
    Ball joints
Strut mounts (Alignment after all this junk, probably still have the printout. Running like -.8 degrees of camber to clear flares)
Brakes (brand new Girling 54s up front, used rear MKIV calipers, new pads and rotors)
    Alternator
    Both fuel pumps
    Fuel filter
Heatercore (put in a non-ac box. Also have the oem non ac accessory set up, and firewall block off plate - all fairly hard to come by)
Techtonics Tuning 2.25” exhaust with Borla (including a new cat)
Racelands (yeah yeah, I don't want to hear it)
    Ecodes (electric adjusters), relayed harness
    Small European center console
    Stereo junk
Thule roof rack with locks, keys and a fairing.

I also have a 16v that was refreshed last April. I bought it being told the head was rebuilt. I don't have any receipts for that, but at the very least, you can tell the head was tanked. I also have the majority of a VR swap (with some bolt ons, TT 268s, valve springs, lightweight lifters) gathered, that I intended on putting in this car, but now I am having second thoughts. Either of these things could go with the car if desired. Recently acquired a running ABA with a blown transmission. 268 cam and matching chip. Could be included if someone wants.

    The bad:

    Racelands
Rattly interior (you know, it's a MK2. Thought it might be improved with sound deadener/new motor mounts?)
16v CIS just kind of sucks, hence the planned VR swap
23 year old paint. It's in okay shape.

Could I please talk you in to putting a price on this car so I can use it as a comparable to mine for my insurance. I rearended someone the other day and my insurance totaled my car and is telling my car was only worth 1,600. I need 1989-1991 jetta gli's worth around 4000-6000 to use for a comparable. Thank you for the time. Please help a fellow dubber in need.

I don't think this car would sell for 4-6k though... I've got about $5500 invested into it, but that is not to say that is what it's worth. I would never get what I have into it (or what it is worth to me) if I sold it outright (hence wanting to trade). Sorry I can't be of more help!

Hopefully you can buy your car back and part it out, to make some of the money back.

New cap, rotor, plugs, blah blah blah

Spent 9 hours working on polishing the RS' yesterday, shoulder is destroyed. Centers back from powdercoat mid next week, should all be back together for Leavenworth.

After Leavenworth, I'm throwing around the idea of selling outright as to put a down payment on an R...

RS put back together. 1/4 height caps purchased. Recent, more detailed pictures in the next couple days.

Trade offers still welcome. Looking to put cash on top, and get into something newer.

I'm not entirely sure... I'm torn between losing a ton of money and being ridiculed for asking way too much. I'm at like 6,000 into it, probably way more. Say 5K obo. I'm also still not entirely sure I want it gone... Typical Vortex BS.

Starting to get bummed about seeing this thing just sit here... Considering realistic offers now.

Also entertaining trade offers. Bikes, ****ty drift cars, things I can take in the woods, whatever. I bought a car to daily so it doesn't have to be something practical.

I feel like 200 miles is not very limiting... where is NoPo, anyway? I assume North Portland, in which case you are ~100 miles away.

That's funny, I know they're rare as hell but as soon as a good friend got one a couple months ago they keep coming up and I keep seeing them around town. I am not interested in that, but I do appreciate the offer! Aren't those things worth quite a bit?

Will sell wheels without car, or lower the price considerably if you buy it without them.

Only want it gone to pay some stuff off.

From what I've seen, yes they can be worth quite a bit. I've seen them sold for as much as 6k.
