I have a 'thing' for AMG monoblocks on VW's. What's the verdict? Does anyone know if they are as heavy as they look; like Huff heavy?

Picture below are the wheels I'm talking about (sorry, credit goes to...??):

    Thanks \m/

Real merc wheels are very heavy. They need to be to handle the heavy ass cars.
My old amg Sclass wheels were marketed as "lightweight" optional wheels and they weighed 29lbs per wheel.

Reps will be a bit lighter.

Mine didn't seem much heavier than the Denvers I had on but then again I didn't care much because they look bad ass.

gtboost - You were right. I had the guy selling a set on CL weigh one and he said it came in at 30Lbs. My 18" TSW Sakata 5's are 22Lbs. I can't justify a 37% jump in rotational weight just for bad-assadry . That said... they look freakin amazing on a MKV right ?

Andy P - No doubt man; fuel econ killer, but beyond that - not everybody can calculate moment of inertia but most every dude can tell you what a $hit ton of rotating weight does to the fun factor
