    Good evening

i'm currently replacing my oilseals on my rear diff, and i notice that the diff is a little sloppy up and down. so. anyone know what the correct preload should be? and how the hell you can obtain this?

i'm fully aware of the big ring on the drivers side which you can set the preload with..

i've taken this ring out, and replaced the O-ring which was there. and now when i set it back to where it was, the diff totally locks, so i have to slacken it with about 90degrees to make it able to spin freely again

i havn't replaced any bearings, but only the o-ring and the oilseals

rear diff is from a passat G60 syncro, letters ARR

    Thanks

    dan
