Thread: motor mounts confused

    i have a 92 16v 2.0 gti. all oem.

    i need new motor mounts but not sure what type the car has. either solid or Hydraulic. what to look for to determine which one the car has.

    the only one that isn't interchangeable between them is the right rear. and they are obviously very different, so it should be easy to figure out

    I just did mine. Get the G60 solid rubber transmission mount, and the solid rubber front mount and go with a poly insert to stiffen the rear mount or just get a new solid rear with out the insert. I am in north jersey and can help you if you need, we have the same cars.
