Code for safe mode

my radio went into safe mode and i took the radio out but where can i find the code? from what ive read, its some where on here but i dont know what im looking for besides a 4 digit code.

If you have your owner's manual packet, look in there for a card. Also, look in the owner's manual for the radio. My previous owner was nice enough to write it in the section that dealt with the code.

If it's not in either of those places, contact your dealer. I have seen an online website that will retrieve your code for $29, but I have not verified that that works. Apart from that possibility, it's pretty much dealer or nothing. Can't even get it with Vag-Com.

I'd need your vehicle VIN and the serial number from the head unit. You'll need to pull it out of the dash to retrieve the serial number.

I'm a tech at VW AUDI PORSCHE dealer and I'm sure I can get you that code using our VW Elsaweb server.
