Where are you located? I have Koni coilovers on my ABA Jetta, and would give you a ride in it if you're in portland

I hope you realize that this thread is going to turn into a huge argument.
In my opinion all coilovers ride like crap. All of them will get you low enough to drag your subframe on the ground. Buy cheap ones. Racelands, Rokkor, etc.
or the cheapest ones out there right now are these http://www.ebay.com/itm/COILOVER-KIT...ht_3363wt_1395

Use the search option. It will tell you plenty of information/opinions.

At the very least get something you can change the dampening on (from personal experience don't buy weitecs). I would however recommend a cup kit with minimal low for daily driving.

I'm curious to hear what bad things you have to say about them. I had them on a mk4 Jetta as well, and really had no complaints.

well to tell you the truth its more b&g i have a problem with iv been trying to get some warranty work done for the last 2yrs, my adjusters are frozen and i needed some other replacement parts and now 2 are leaking and i have talked with mike (miggs) at b&g over a dozen times to try get these fixed or Evan parts and i keep getting o we don't have any parts right now or we are waiting on a shipment and than they told me they shipped me parts but never showed ? no tracking # and now he will not talk to me via email or phone ... so ya i will not buy anything from them again ever! ... the coils i liked at first till i started having adjuster problems .....

That would do it for me too. I lost an adjustment cap and i got ahold of 1552 (b&g dealer) and i had one a week and a half later Any idea what caused the leaks?

I've owned and installed a lot of different brands of coil overs. IMO the lower you go the crappier the ride. I've rolled coil overs with lots of suspension travel and I think most ride great when not sport driving. But when you get in the corners, the suspension really responds. It really has to to with valving and spring rate.

I also agree with jiffyjetta. The cheeper coils like Racelands and Rokkor are just fine for 95% of peoples driving style and height requirements.

I've heard k-sport make b&g's. If it's true you will get good product with wayyy better customer service.

    KW also makes ST

There are also a lot of similarities with many of the different brands such as Rokkor, Racelands, Stasis, Koni and other major brands. Many of the strut bodies have the exact same tabs, welds and exterior machine marks. The internal components may be slightly different and some also use stainless instead of galvinized.

What about strut mounts? I made the mistake of using the original ones...twice. i recently installed airlift xl's and when i pulled out the coilovers off the front passenger side, the top mount fell off. so be sure to get new ones, ive also heard of people using audi 90 bushings but i never looked into it.

I have one thing to add to my previous statement. If you plan on racing or doing anything that requires hard core performance, then do not buy cheap.

I had K-Sports on my GTI and loved them. They have dampening adjustment and came with camber plates.
