What is a crub, bursh, and fents?

I think you meant curb, brush, and FENCE????
You haven't gotten the memo yet?

    - Bought an '00 sentra with srs/airbag lights on and shady inspection stickers.

    - Was running a bit lean at the track with my '74 bug with a draw through turbo 1915. Here's an idea: Lets lean it out a bit more by dropping a secondary size or two! Luckily i only blew off a little piece of a head around a stud and the head was repairable.

    - I forget the fluids but i put the wrong one into a friend's grand cherokee. I think it was brake fluid into his power steering.

-Most recent: Was changing the spark plugs on my accent and my extension made it so that my ratchet handle just barely cleared the top of the valve cover which has thin raised edges around the holes. Get to #4 and hear a snap thinking the plug loosened, but it was still tight. Remove the plug. Turns out the snap was the edge of the valve cover breaking from my ratchet handle, and the tiny aluminum metal pieces were now down around the plug hole! Luckily none fell in, but the little pieces were difficult to extract. A friend gave me the well deserved "How'd ya manage to do that?".

It's difficult to explain without pictures, and since there are none...

I tried to squeeze the Golf into a rather tiny parking spot (that in hindsight I am not sure is a parking spot) in a parking garage. This particular spot was angled in such a way that my passenger door wasn't going to open as there was a sharp edge to the concrete wall. Well, in the process of negotiating, as carefully as I could think at the time, into the spot. And then, all of a sudden i hear scraping and that sharp edge was suddenly having a party with my passenger door and front fender.

    oops.

There was this one time in my 'early years' when I was driving the CL Type-S home through some twisties and I was only steering with a finger and a thumb. I learned quickly that slippery leather, a poor grip on the wheel, and a bump in the road equals instant change of direction. Luckily nothing happened to speak of, just a bit of a reality check (and nearly new undergarments).

Definitely a '... why did I just do that?' moment.

Successfully avoided disaster in both of mine.

    1. We needed to roll the Jetta out to wash it. I had a bunch of parts on the roof, so I cleared them. So I get in, make sure it's in neutral, and my dad starts pushing. He lets go thinking it will stop, but it doesn't. It's heading straight for the Odyssey. I quickly press the brake, and the car stops right before it would've hit.

After we rolled it back forward

    2. One afternoon, I decide to take my Reaction 150 go kart out. After I'm driving it for a bit, I take it to full tilt. The throttle starts sticking. I panic for a second, but then I hit the kill switch and stop.

Said go kart now. Has been sitting for 2 years

I didn't think to disconnect it at the battery end first, instead going to work on the starter end using a box end wrench. Which, of course, grounded the other end as soon as I moved it a bit. That caused the + terminal of the battery to arc weld between it and the cable end. I managed to quickly knock the wrench off, but there was a pool of liquid metal from the battery post on top of the very hot battery. Quite lucky that I didn't cause the battery to explode.
Done that. Only in my case it was in a MkII between the B+ terminal on the alternator and the radiator support. I panicked and swatted at it with my hand (luckily gloved) and knocked it free before it was able to do too much damage. When I finally replaced that alternator years later I had to cut and replace the cable because the nut and stud were fused.

Another stupid one on the same car. I had just finished replacing my timing belt on the 16v and at the same time had fashioned an A/C delete bracket. I started the engine and was checking the alignment of my V-belt pulleys when I heard a buzz. Thinking it might have been my fancy new timing belt cover, I reached in to touch it and see if I could stop the buzz. I felt the fins on the alternator just touch the hair on the back of my hand and immediately realized how stupid I was to reach in there while the engine was running. I was very lucky to not have learned the true meaning of the term "degloved" that day.

3rd one: On a theft-recovery Civic Si that I thought was a great idea to buy. The car had a lot of front end damage, so I though I'd be Mr. Thrifty and fit the new parts and prep for paint myself. I had an appointment at the paint shop on Monday, so I figured I'd use the weekend to put on the new parts. The hood prop was removed since I was working on the radiator support and I didn't want to damage the hood by putting it on the floor, so I just opened it all the way and rested it on the windshield. Fast forward to Sunday night when I'm trying (in a ~30 degree garage) to bend the new bumper cover over the front end. To get it stretched that last bit, I put my feet on the bottom lip and my hands on the rad support and pushed down on the lip. As you can guess, the car bounced a bit on the springs while I was doing this. All I remember was hearing a loud bang and then going dark. I woke up in a "Psycho"-esque pool of blood on the garage floor. The hood had come down and caught me with the front lip right on the back of the head. I had a pretty good laceration that was still bleeding so my wife got to drive me to the ER while I ruined all our towels. Had to postpone my appointment at the paint shop.

17 years old, driving my old mk3 jetta home from school with my friend in the rain when it starts overheating. i kill the ac and start driving really really slowly, trying to limp it home. everything starts fogging up so I open my window and keep going. i pull up to an intersection and see a cop parked there just checking out traffic, i guess i looked pretty conspicuous driving through the intersection so slowly because i only got about half a mile down the road before i see him flying down the road behind me, meanwhile my cars engine temperature is reaching critical mass and i pull into a library on the side of the road and get out to open the hood. the cop pulls in after me and blocks me in the spot with his lights on and gets out of the car.

    me: whats the problem officer?

cop: well youre driving really slowly in the rain with your window open, why do you think i pulled you over?

me: ...because...you think were smoking weed?

cop: what!? no! i think you stole this car. let me see your license and registration.

    me: oh.

well why the **** did i just say that...
