So I'm currently shopping around to for a new axle back! First things first, I'm doing everything on a budget.

    My current set up is:
    81 Cabby
    9A 2.0l 16v
    Neuspeed Chip
    FF Trans

As far as an exhaust goes I've got a 2.25" exhaust
I have a fake cat, the pipe goes right through it
    Then shortly after it's a Mk3 Vr6 glass pack,
Then after the trailing arm I have some cheap muffler that came with the car, one of those off the shelf multi-chamber mufflers you can get at checkers/advance auto stores.

Here's how it sounds right now:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECkrQ...hannel&list=UL

I would keep everything except for everything after the trailing arm,
I was looking at the Flowmaster dBX muffler
    http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/sh...oducts_id=4348

I'm not to sure how it would sound on a my car, there are only a few videos with these mufflers, mostly on new civics and fiestas and wrx's

Anyone have any input on this muffler?

What exactly are you looking for? Personally, I don't think what you currently have sounds bad. Pretty expensive muffler for "low budget".

I like the sound of it to, it can be really loud sometimes (highway). But the biggest reason why I want to try something different is that the rear section is falling apart. It keeps breaking hangers and sitting on the rear trailing arm. Which can be a really obnoxious in the lower rpms. I guess I just want to change things

My brother, me, and some friends made that exhaust for about $50! But I occasionally spend a few extra dollars on something nice

I hear that the dbx muffler carries a very refined sound, but I don't know if I want it to be as quiet as they advertise it as.

I have to agree with Todd, not exactly a cheap muffler and at this price I'd say you can get just about anything. I think you may want to look into a Borla. It has a great sound/tone but it's not super loud. Just my 2 cents. GL

I agree with you guys! That's quite pricey, but I have a friend who works at a local exhaust shop and they are getting them for $90 a piece. If you look on amazon they are selling them for $114 shipping included, and that's a lot better than the $175 they are selling them on their website.

Very interested in how this turns out. I have looked in to the hushpower before as I was interested in something quieter. If you do another video get some just idling, rev'ing, and the drive by too.

The car died before I could make a video, but I got her running again. I'll attempt to make a video tomorrow.
There is a very short sound clip of the car in my friends video. I'll find the link in a second.
It's loud. Very loud. But I like it that way!

Curious to hear how it sounds compared to my Super 44.

I have been considering one of these for a while. My 16v rabbit has the TT 2.25 exhaust with a magnaflow muffler, it is loud. I would really like to quiet it down somehow.

Here's the little audio clip from my friend's video.
It's a little 4k-7k pull, before my buddies 1996 Neon pulls

Huh well that sucks, I thought the whole point of these was to be quieter than other comparable mufflers, why call it hushpower dbx if it is still loud
