I plan on doing a 2.0 MK3 ABA motor swap into the bay of my 88 Cabriolet and want to put the entire motor into it. Later on down the road I want to turbo it too. I don't want to be messing with the fuel system and finding parts for the motor which is in pieces. I know I want to do a CE2 swap and would like some info on that. What harnesses do I need? How exactly do I accomplish this swap? I've read lots of threads and haven't quiet got a straight answer. Also want to know if I have to use the 8v tranny I have or if I can use the mk3 tranny. I'm just mostly concerned about the CE2 swap. Seems like I need to get a late mk2 CE2 wiring harness with the fusebox and the motor harness ECU and motor. That's all I have gotten out of reading. I don't want to run megasquirt. Any help is appreciated guys.

You sir need to read through this thread:

BTW a full ce2 swap is the hardest most tedious way to do this swap.
