So Im replacing my blown up 24V with another 24v and noticed my cam control valve plug ends are broken /smashed on the new motor. Known in the bentley manual as " intake cam adjustment valve N205 & exhaust valve N318.
they come off easy with 2 torxs screws each and have a slight keyed notch that matches a hole where they seat.
Can I just swap the valves or do I need to swap the whole control assembly?
any help would be much appreciated.

N205 and N318 are service replacement parts. You can just change them, but make sure that there is no debris or foreign material to clog the oil passageways to affect the camshaft timing system. Clean oil
and frequent oil changes are a must in my opinion to keep the adjustment system working correctly.
