So I waited for a Highway Patrolman to show up. He said "yeah that happens to people with low profile tires. He said that they don't write a report unless it's $1000. He said the wheel looked ok; I told him it was actually slightly bent. He got silent when I told him the wheel cost $900. I should have added that the tire is about 300 to 400. He kept on that the State won't cover it. I was thinking; why is it ok for them to alter the highway and damage my property. As a matter of fact he just got through helping a Mk5 GTI with Huffs that got a flat tire from the same thing. sucks.

Saw a Mclaren too..... Ran into the Bugatti again in Phoenix. It had a Michigan Manufacture plate on it.

I came back from California yesterday afternoon on the I-10 in the Tiguan with its' big fat tires and was glad that I wasn't in something with low-profile tires. Sorry to hear about your misfortune Henry!

All of those exotics you saw have low pros. Why nothing happened to them?

I'll be going out that way soon, I'll make sure to watch for it on the way back. That's pretty brutal! I-10 or I-8?

It is the I-10 Eastbound that is the worst, about 50 miles outside of Phoenix IIRC.

FYI, just got back in town and didn't notice/hit anything and there was no sign for "BUMP", might have been already patched up. There was a quite few miles of new pavement about 1-1.5hrs away from PHX as you've said.

This is my worst nightmare right here. No spare in the R32 and I have zigzagged the country a few times and am driving from PHX to the north east in a few weeks. Lots of stretches of road where I have no cell phone signal for miles, driving through the night. How would you even handle a situation like that? Got two flats once rolling over a pot hole that formed under a rail road crossing. Thankfully a cop was along shortly after. ugh. Makes me sick just thinking about it.

I just drove in from California (meaning I got home 10 min ago), and I didn't see this bump anywhere. They must have fixed it.
