This year Eibach was at the Irwindale Speedway due to the sheer size of the previous meets. It has historically been held at the Eibach HQ, but the event has exceeded the capacity of the parkinglot. It was great, a lot of car diversity, and a lot of cool people. I actually ended up randomly meeting another 5th Gen Prelude owner (I brought the Prelude), and him and a couple of his friends ended up hanging out at my canopy for the day.

These guys drove down from Washington (18 hr drive) to attend the meet. I instantly spotted the guy on the right (ITR owner) due to his 'California tan'

Purchased the kit from my former employer, Bulletproof Automotive

    Very clean 5th gen Prelude

Rays Speed Choppy wheels. Anyone know what the ring is for? Styling? The owner didn't know, and said they are fairly brittle, which is why the wheels are so rare.

    Really liked this black SI

    Favorite car of the event!

The Motocompo is designed to fold up and fit in the back of the City.

In dash cooler, so freaking... COOL!

Loved the wheels on the left one.

Funny story, so at the end of the day, the owner of this car and his friend found me and gushed to me over my build for 30 minutes. They are super in love with my car and were extremely excited to see it in person. It was the first time I've been fanboyed on, and it was pretty awesome The owner jocked my wheel setup down to my lugs and center caps (well, my old setup at least). Flattered! They were really cool guys, and I was really glad to meet them.

People were coming in all day

    Definition of bling bling

    Enjoyed this Civic.

Very rare Seeker spoiler, I'm actually curious if I sold it to him, as I sold 2

These were the guys I hung out with. Very clean Accords, both h22 swapped.

And nicely styled Prelude, not my personal style, but I think it is very well executed.

    Woo 5th Gen Preludes!

Really fun day, I was glad I ended up bringing my EZUP because it's really nice to have a place to go to and sit. It's funny because I actually had forgotten about it and found it in the trunk of the Prelude the night I was prepping it. It was still in there since the last time I went to Buttonwillow

Pretty cool, subtle difference but I love the JDM front end on EF Civics and CRXs.

    1. Those two Accords are beautiful.
    2. Those Sakuras aren't real, they're Axis copies.
    3. JUN-colors valve cover? Pffft. I was doing that more than a decade ago

    4. Before the end of the event, all of those cars were stolen.

Im honestly suprised that people are still tuning hondas. I haven't seen a nicely modded non-s2000 in years. Around here its all Skylines, S13s, FDs and a slew of other misc Japanese imports.
Gotta love a clean CRX or EF civic from time to time. Nice pics.

But aside from that, lots of those cars look very well put together, especially that PY/SY EM1 with the Mugen wing. I kept thinking to myself as I was scrolling, "This is my favorite one, no, that one, wait, how about this one. No, definitely--no wait, nope."

Sadly it's the truth. The number molested hondas in the North Shore/Boston area is staggering. Every now and then I see someone who gives me faith again, but they're usually outnumbered 10:1.

That's the new style for modded Honda's in So Cal, kind of an OEM+ look.

Wow, quite a surprise to see the turn-out. That's impressive. I wouldn't bat an eye if this was 10-15 years ago but that there is a fantastic showing of old and new in the import scene. Seeing the rides in these photos really takes me back! Thanks for sharing.

I see some really nice clean cars, and some that are a bit more flashy than I prefer.

All I know is I saw an ITR with optional aero bits, and I want them.

No, I NEED the optional aero kit complete with hardware and rubbers.

K20 ITR aero DC? Who can say no.

Wow there are a lot of really nice cars, great post! One thing though... Did I miss the memo about putting stickers on the bottom center of your windshield? At least 1/3 of the cars posted have some decal there. What gives?

Not that new, it came back around 05/06 as a throwback to the 90's

Phryxis, look what I found on Speedhunters:

"When I hear people talking about the good old days of Honda, the Prelude is always brought up. Seeing a a properly modified Prelude like this one always makes me wonder if Honda has any plans to bring back the much-loved sports coupe. Somehow I doubt it’s in the pipeline…"

Just because you went to Japan a few times and are responsible for bringing Bosozoku to America doesn't mean you started every trend. And ha!

Side thought: Honda kids are getting really good at shaved bays. I tend to not like them as much on VW's because they take it too far but most of those Hondas posted managed to really clean up the bay but still maintain a functional look.

The Honda love is HUGE in California (as you can see). The thing is, all the nice ones are always garaged and you only get to see them at these kinds of events.

Yeah I felt the same way. I think it was a demo car for a company too. It's really easy to wetsand lenses too.

The Prelude is more recognizable in the scene as being my car, and it's a 'special' Prelude. The NSX is a stock NSX with wheels
