    For a B3, B3 bumpers are best.
B4 Bumber is plug n play I guess, a lot of people do that, looks like crap if you ask me

Hell, I'd just be happy to find a used front bumper in California that's in one piece. Every single one I find at the local pick-yer-part has the lower strakes torn loose. That includes bumpers that are on cars that look otherwise absolutely mint. I have an NOS €uro GT front bumper (that someone I know desperately wants) but I'm too lazy to sand off all that extra texture so as to match my non-GT wagen. Too bad he's not on the left coast.

are you talking about me? ifly?

    for the guy in latvia....

b3 is the best; a gt textured is the cream of the cream. but next to impossible to find outside europe.

then a b3 oem is next; after that 2 choices. one is uglier than the other.

you can buy a 100 dollar aftermarket one piece front bumper in ebay; or get a b4 fornt bumper at slap it onto the b3 car. if i had to choose from these 2 options; or die a slow death.... i would take the b3 aftermarket crap over the b4 frotn bumper...

I was lucky one of my best friends has OVER 9000 b4 bumpers just chilling by his garage. My B3 bumper had the ever popular lower valence delete so the b4 bumper was a no brainer for me. Each to his own, but a B4 bumper with a Volvo 740 lip on a B3 is killer

I experimented with B4 rear bumper, looked ok but it did not match up with the B3 bumper which I rather like. Incidentally if you do fit a b4 rear bumper its not a straight swap as the side mountings are different and you will have make some brackets up to suit

Woah and the heavens parted, and the sun shone down, and there it was...
    a 95% mint B3 front bumper!!!

I got stupid-lucky & it paid off. Got a wild hair to hit one of the out-of-town Pick-yer-part yards since they'd dropped a '90 in the last week or so. The first car I ran across was the '94 that'd been there for a while though. Nothing special, so I moved on to the '90. Again, nothing too special (other than the bitchin' barbed-wire motif stickered 'grill'), and then it dawned on me; check the bumper dummy. Looked down & this thing was almost mint. Three or four of the strakes were showing slight signs of starting to tear, and there were two holes in the textured portion where a license plate was bodged on. Neither one of these were insurmountable problems. Then it occured to me to go back & look at the '93. Lo & behold; my very own unicorn, my holy grail: my very own B3 front cover.

This one did have a few minor flaws of it's own (very slight graze on one corner, one spot where a screw for the license plate mount just kissed the textured area, a rock hit in the horizontal grooving) but the only issues with the strakes are two that were just showing some paint pealing where the catch the bottom crosspiece. That's usable in my book. I just need to get the corner cleaned up, and get it painted Alpine Weiss) and treat the textured part, then I can mount up my NOS grill & spoilers, and give my wagen a well-deserved nose job. One more thing ticked off the list. Bonus point; it was a 1/3 off weekend. Score!

Where do you find THESE headlights! Looks like the smileys in my E30 BMW!

P.S. I'm going to be picking up a B3 Wagon that Cam from CWS Tuning (some people here will know him!) did up a few years ago!

Hey! Cut me some slack! I'm new to the VW scene. I was on here before cause my wife had a New Beetle! I've been working on a E30 BMW for the last few years, but like I said I'm probably getting this B3 Wagon right away.

    Thanks for the link though!
