    LED headlights?

    Went and checked out a 2010 gti today and it had the oem projector xenons but no LEDs. Im confused I thought the xenons all had LEDs except the golf r?

    I don't know if this is the same but I noticed a few 2012's both TDI and GTI on the dealer lot near me had the R xenons without LED DRLs...

    I've seen TDI's with tech package that have LEDs and other TDIs with tech that have R style bi-xenons without LEDs.

    Factory fluke?

    The R's don't come with the LED's. However other 2012 models do.

    All 2012's with HID's have the LED DRL's except the R. PERIOD!!!!

    This. I've seen both too on the 2012 TDI's. But all the 2012 Autobahns I have seen have LED's.

    Wrong, if the car (GTI/Golf) has xenons, it has LED Drl's 2012 and up.

    Ed here has been selling aftermarket headlights for those buying a MKVI without Xenons and/or LEDs.

    I bought one from his first shipment last year. and still very happy with my purchase.
    I believe he is on his 3rd round of shipments or so of these things.
    Plug n play.

    In case you might want to go with a 2010 or 2011 model and still want Xenons w LEDs.

    But those do not have AFS function.... In the end instead of bi-xenon's you just have halogen's with led DRL's correct?

    yeah i spoke to ed and he said the same thing. The reps are only for halogen cars. Anyone know the pricing for the OEM LED Xenons, and whats involved with putting them on an already xenon car?

    Need a highline CECM which is about $460 and then you need the new headlights. Let's say around $1500-2000 for those so close to $3k after tax and shipping.
