I was wondering if anyone has any experience with GermanAutoParts and if they are truly fair with their shipping costs? They have some very nice prices on some things I need but it says the shipping isn't calculated until after you purchase everything. Leave me some feedback on their site please. Thanks in advance everyone.

the website doesn't calculate it because they charge you actual shipping costs.

    Who else does that

I am literally wearing a GAP shirt right now. my tool box is covered in GAP stickers that they give out.

I love them, they are fast and reliable, never had an issue yet.

They only charge for shipping exactally what it costs to actually ship your item(s)

Have bought from GAP multiple times before and will again. they are based in new york and i am in southeast pa and i usually get my parts in 2 to 3 days with standard shipping

you can probably find "better" deals price wise but for oem parts GAP is the way to go.

Another from me. They are in NY, I am in Delaware. I usually get things overnight with the standard shipping. (I know that is not the case for those further away)

Also, if you have any concerns, call them. They have always been very helpful, if I couldn't find what I wanted on the site and called them up.

GAP is by far the best parts place I've ever dealt with...100+ orders over the last 6 years and not a single snag.

    Doesn't get any better

You can check around... some things are cheaper elsewhere. but I've found whatever is cheaper, is usually outweighed by what is more expensive at other places (since I order a lot at a time).

Upstate NY to MA, if I order before noon it's at my door the next day.

Its about a 20min drive to their warehouse for me so ahipping is usually $0, even though Ill spend $12 in gas to pick up a relay that would ship for a dollar. All their staff is very polite and well versed. The warehouse is clean and organized as you would expect.

That said I do miss the days before GAP when I bought parts from Potterman and got candy with every order.

I ordered a TON of parts in one big go to get my MKIII back up to reliable condition. Shipping charges were way less than I was expecting, and it showed up in two days.

If only they sold OEM Acura parts.

I've ordered a bunch of stuff with them with no issues and because of my location I usually get them in a day or two max. I did notice one thing though, I ordered two things recently one came in a box the size of a box your iphone or cell phone might come in and the other was quite large...maybe the size of two av receivers...weird analogies I know but they both cost $9 dollars to ship.

I'm made quite a few orders over the last couple months, and they have been great. The shipping is very reasonably priced, and its quick too.

Another from me. I've ordered from them many times, they've given me options for expedited shipping with GREAT service over the phone. They always read the comments in the order form. They follow up with every inquiry. GermanAutoParts is my favorite site to order from. Since you've never ordered from them, it might be helpful to know they ship from New York so you can estimate shipping times.

Also, never, I repeat, never trust ECSTuning with anything. They have let me down many times and I can't believe I kept going back to them. Never again.

Thanks for all the feedback gents, I appreciate it. I went ahead and ordered quite a bit of parts from them. Even if shipping does get a bit high, their low prices and hard to find small items will make up for it in the long run. Again, I appreciate all the comments.
