    Can someone please explain why I can not post pics/attachments?

    You need to post them to a third party site like photobucket or flickr first, and then copy the image to this forum with an image link.

    When you post to one of those sites, photbucket, Flickr etc, the site will give you and option to generate and HTML image link. Copy that link and paste it into your post. Like any HTML code you copy and paste the link calls the site when the image is stored and voila the image appears. It will remain a live link until the image is deleted.
