The new printers are crap -- just ink vessels.

Keep your old printer and man-up for some ink.

There are no old Porsches - just new owners.

ALWAYS look-up the ink costs before buying a printer to know what you're getting into. Much like when shopping for a car and checking MPG it gets.

I'd recommend staying away from re-fill cartridges... I work for a computer service company, one of our clients dispatches special needs teachers to schools all over the area. 550+ printers, almost all the same, some variations in models, mostly HP's. Our client decided to cheap out and start grabbing ink from a refill company, boy did we have a TON of phone calls about messed up printers. They quickly switched back to buying HP branded ink.
