    Hi guys,

    I do miss my VW Jetta GLI DSG 2007, but at the same time I'm pretty to own a brand new VW GOLF GTI 35TH ANNIVERSARY.

    I was living at Plano Texas until a year ago and I wanted to buy a VW Golf R MKVI... but it took longer for it to land on North American soil.

    Here at Mexico we only got 250 of the VW GOLF GTI 35TH ANNIVERSARY, and it could be either with or without nab, with DSG or Stick... But at last since there where only 250 of them... To get the one that you wanted was a PITA... LOL

    A friend of mine works as a Sales Guy at one Volkswagen dealership so he told me as soon as he had a "Magic Black" one with DSG... But since my MKV was a "Black Magic" with DSG and I wanted a "Candy White" one with stick trans, I let pass that opportunity. At that point I was thinking on buying a "Candy White" Passat CC... But at last I received a call from my friend Hector who told me that they had just received a "Candy White" 35th Anniversary with stick trans... So I started ASAP all the papers to get it.

    Here are some pics:

    This as the Volkswagen Dealership just the day that I went for it.

    ASAP I swapped some of the stuff I had in my VW MKV into the 35th Anniversary, and these things where:

    BBS RS-GT 19X8.5 ET 42 wheels
    Bilstein's PPS 10 Coilovers
    Front and rear H&R's Sway bars
    Brembo's 365mm BBK
    Neuspeed's drilled rear rotors
    Hawk rear pads
    ECS Tuning rear brake hoses

    Today I installed the OEM trunk struts and it's a pretty awesome mod! Thanks to Jay at ECS Tuning!

    As well I installed with a little help on my friends Paco and Oscar the Grille's VW emblem from RB Styling.

    Indeed I believe that the side skirts are the same as the ones that come from factory in the R MKVI!

    I do love the 35th Aniniversary front bumper, I would like to buy the "R" rear bumper for my car.

    Here are some updates... This was getting kind of rusty! LOL

    First of all the OEM trunk shocks that I bought from ECS Tuning where installed and they work so fine. The hood it's a little harder to be close, but not a big deal at all.


    My rear tires where f**ked up!





    Here are the new ones being mounted on the wheels



    And an APR/Carbonio Intake

    Love the Edition 35 to death! If I could've found one, I would've gotten it over the R any day. You almost never see these in Aus either.

    Did you happen to get the Leather/Microfiber seats? Or just the stock Jacky ones?

    Hi man,

    The APR/Carbonio did make a difference, it does flows more and better than the OEM, but not as much as if I had gone with a Short Ram or a CAI. My car is less than a year old and with only 6,500 Km on the clock, so I wanted to go the most OEM possible way until the warranty spires... After that I think I'll go with the VW Racing Intake.

    What's up mate! I went the Leather/Microfiber setup which is the only option here in Mexico, and I do like the hexagonal pattern on the Microfiber section.
