Haven't seen one of these threads yet, and I know I'm not the only one this happened to!
I was completely heart broken when someone rear ended me while I was completely stopped at a red light, and pushed into a truck stopped in front of me, even if it could be considered a fender-bender. Not only was this my very first brand new car, but also my first accident. What pissed me off was that this was my literally my first day back in Phoenix, from L.A., for over a week. Phoenix has literally half the people of L.A., so I figured if someone was going to hit me, it would be more probable to happen there, rather than in Phoenix. Insurance paid for 100% of it, and it was cosmetic damage only, but it still sucked. Jetta's looking perfect once again, with brand new front and back ends. It worked out sort of nice, because the new front doesn't have license plate drill holes anymore.

Only posted this last one so everyone can see the reflection of the guy that hit me. (Guy on the left with sunglasses on)

Overall not that bad of an accident, but I'd love to see and hear other horror stories. haha

Ouch, that's painful to see. Good thing you were able to get everything sorted out and back to new again.

I'll post some pictures of mine in the morning once the sun comes out.
I was being stupid trying to cram into my parents two car garage and ended up with two dings. They aren't TOO big but they will be expensive to repair as they are both right on pannel body lines

Here's the rear left pannel, it was worse at one point believe it or not. I fixed it a bit with a heat gun and keyboard cleaner

Oh, god, it's too much to look at. That blows, I hope that's an old pic, and it's all fixed now. I thought mine was bad, I feel your pain man.

Not too bad, and not too noticeable. How much is the repair for that?

I haven't gotten any formal quotes unfortunately.
I have been told however that because of the dent's location it would be difficult to remove without damaging the paint. Including a spot repaint, the total could range anywhere from $200-400.

Being a broke college student, allocating up to $400 for a repair isn't exactly a priority.

yea it happened last july. it sucked a lot since it was my first new car and i only had it for about a month. its all good now. cant even tell it was hit now since my dads friend owns a body shop that is vw certified and deals with all the vw headquarters cars so they did an awesome job.

This might not look like much, but 2 weeks after getting my car I hit a raccoon going about 75. (me not the raccoon)
All plastic below the hood had to be replaced as well as the radiator, ac condensor, both fans and shroud. Final cost was 5k. Front bumper went to fastt600 (sorry if I got the spelling wrong)
for his sweet front emblem shave.
