I used my grandfather's OBDII on my car to see what my CEL was all about. This is what I got:

    p0422

Main Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1

Any idea what needs fixing/replacing? I have only flashed my ECU and upgraded the DV.. but if this means I need a 3-inch dp with high-flow cat...

It means that the rear 02 sensor is getting data that indicates the Cat has failed; the cat could have actually failed or the O2 sensor could have failed. I have no cat and I'm throwing the same code (for obvious reasons) Though I did purchase the downpipe program from Revo and it is still throwing a code.

If you get a new DP and high-flow cat, you'll need to purchase the downpipe program for your software as well as an O2 spacer (elbow) to blind the 02 sensor and keep from throwing a code.

Potential causes of a P0422 code include:

    Bad or non-functional catalyst
Engine operating out of optimal air:fuel ratio
i think you can try use code scanner tool clear the fault code.

I cleared the fault code and it hasn't come back. On Monday I'm going to call to make an appt with my mechanic. Been looking at the prices of O2 sensors and different cats since the issue. Hoping it's the sensor, but if I have to change the cat I can get more flow......
