Thread: 09G Trans Fill Point

  1. 06-14-2012 07:24 PM #1
I am about to do a 2007 Jetta ATF fluid change. After reading the DIYs I looked for a more reasonable way to fill the trans with out getting ATF all over. I think that if i pour the ATF through the cooling hose port it will be a better solution. Can someone tell me if I'm wrong and help me out with a better suggestion?

i posted and seen it elsewhere a T55 plug is located on drivers side where the driveshaft hooks up you can feel itfrom underneath the car very hard to see, need a mirror, tranny easily fills by gravity or harbor freight pump that i used, only took about 2.5 qt, where the stealer charges for 6 qts @ $18 amazes me!!! i pulled pan and filter too!!

Thanks, I think I saw that plug underneath the battery. When I've got some time I take a better look.

I think both of you are asking for trouble. There's nothing hard about the normal fill port on a 09G.
Auto trans fluid change or flush will not make a trans fail. Stop spreading the wives tale/urban myth.
