    Hi guys

Just picked up a 81 caddy last month with 2.0 16v motor swap. The timing belt is beat, but I have no idea which one I should order for a replacement. I don't know what block I have, other than that it's a 2 liter and the head is an 87 scirocco 16v. The belt I pulled out today had I think 147 teeth (counting was a bitch, so I might be off by one?). The 150 tooth belt I picked up definitely was too loose.

Anyone know what belt I need to get? After looking around, I was leaning toward trying to order an 06 GTI belt since it seems to be a 148 tooth. Can anyone help a noob out?

Uh, there's only one option...the 1.8 and 2.0 16v have the same belt...

Order a belt for a 91 Passat 16v, that's usually easy for most parts places.

Thanks! Seriously had no clue where to start. Most places don't show the tooth count next to their order.
