    Just picked up an '87 4000CS Quattro for short money...going to need a lot of love but it is better than letting it get scrapped!

    towed it back to the shop I work at today and got it to run on ether. Its a start at least.

    Awesome little car.
    clean the fuel filter(s) and check the pump it will probably run then....
    I just found one of these about six months ago and am going thru it bit by bit.

    There is a pretty serious fuel leak after the pump under the rear floor...The accumulator and related components are pretty rusty. So are the fuel lines from the head of the fuel distributor, they have become very thin. Instead of messing about with this clackety-clacking 10V, I am shopping around for a Passat/A4 1.8T to swap in.

    Or swap a 20vt 5cyl like I did! Hey, want to sell the distributor off the 10v to me?
