I don't have an answer for the T-shirt, as I borrowed the set myself and never requested one...
I can relate to month 2, especially after the week of recovery - WOW!
It definitey gets easier to handle as month 2 goes on.

I'm halfway through it and...GAHHHHH!!!!!!
It got harder by like ten-fold! I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
Anyway, I got this as a gift...with no proof of purchase or having it in the original kit...
Any ideas on how I can get the insanity shirt?? I thought of maybe purchasing a copy of it, taking a picture with the kit, and then returning the kit altogether.
This way, it won't seem like I'm requesting the shirt days after trying the program and it won't be on paper, either.
Thoughts?

Doing Insanity: asylum right now...seems actually easier than the 2nd part of Insanity. The thing i didnt like about the 2nd half of insanity was the length of the workouts...anything over 45 mins seemed too long and would bore me to death.
Still liked it and got decent results, although I could only do it 4 times a week.

Oh Cool...I was wondering how the Asylum was...
So are there substitutions for jumping rope? What about for the pull up bar?
I ask because for me there would be a bit of distance between where I do Insanity and where I can setup a pull up bar.
Do you need anything else, such as Dumbells?
Thanks!

I didn't see too much difference in my lower body. for me the main differences were stamina and my upper body, but of course YMMV.
Did your set of disks include the "Max Interval Sports Training"?
It's also pretty long but its also fun, and helps break up the monotony a bit.

Yeah, I got the Max Interval Sports Training. I'm seeing results, but I definitely want to have that nice, lean look, with the strength and stamina to back it up.
I mean, you can look lean, but you can also be very weak while looking lean. *cough* sparkly Edward Cullen *cough*

Sorry, forgot I replied to this.
As far as jump ropes: There really is no substitute, but they are fairly cheap to buy (5-$10) and you get the hang of it pretty fast. I started being only able to do like literally 3 jumps, within a few weeks I could do about a 100, so don't sweat it if you suck at it at first, you will get better real quick.
Other stuff you need for asylum, just weights really...start light cause the moves are kinda comlicated til you get the form right (I'm fairly average to low strength and I use 10 and 15 pound weights). They show you how you can also use bands and whatnot, but all the exercises can be done with just weights (and seem less complicated that way too). I guess a mat of some kind as well as the agility ladder thing is also a must. You dont need the pull-up bar, they show alternative exercises for those.
Now, I think some versions of asylum come with the jump rope and agility ladder but you have to pay extra and the stuff is crap quality...I ended up buying a second set of the stuff for my girlfriend at Dick's sporting goods, prices and quality were much better.
Which reminds me, another thing I found helpful was doing it with someone....I do it with the girlfriend and I dread the days I end up having to do it alone. You can check each other's form and kinda push each other a bit, and it's actually almost kinda sorta fun.
The asylum also comes with a calendar that combines P90X, Insanity and asylum into a three month program, and I think that's probably where it's at...gonna do that after I'm thru with asylum.
Jeez...I sound like a freakin infomercial for this stuffoh well whatever, after 12 years of aimless gym workouts with endless plateus and little gain, I really found these workouts pretty impressive.

You can do the workout without a jump rope but I don't think it will work as well. You can also sub in strength bands (I picked one up at Wallmart for under $20).
Just started doing the asylum again today. I completed it a while back and was happy with the shape I was in but I didn't lose much weight because I ate terrible. I am going to try to eat cleaner this time and see what happens. I am also going to throw in a few sets of either bench squats or dead lifts 3X a week to maintain strength.

Thanks very much for the info! I'm going to give it a try.
I'm going to try to order it within the next few weeks.

Yes it's real...
I did insanity a year ago...I started to hate Shaun T with a passion. Just the sound of his voice made me want to eat babies. Couldn't do it again though it was just too repetitive and working out at home is hard as hell for me to get into.
Good on you for finishing it though it's friggin rough

With asylum you only go for 30 days so you'll see/hear less of Shaun T. Its pretty intense, I sweat a lot during the workouts. So far adding in a short weight session prior to the insanity workout seems to be working fine. The hardest part is the diet for me. I am eating a big bowl of ice cream right now![]()

I'm looking to buy Insanity soon, seeing as how I'm not too proud of my body right now.

One week left on the Insanity Program for me!
And...gotta say, I'm gonna have to change my diet. Seeing results, but getting those lower abs to show is a real PITA!

Unfortunately it doesn't really work like that. The sugar in the ice cream will cause an insulin spike which will result in your fat cells sequestering the calories from the ice cream. In the morning when you work out due to the intensity of the workout you'll mostly be burning ATP and glycogen stored in your liver and muscle tissue.
The adipose tissue on your body is not a garbage can that calories get dumped into when you "over eat," nor is a garbage can that is emptied when you exercise. I put over eat in quotations because eating too much isn't most people's problem, instead it's eating the wrong things.

I know and I really have been trying to do better but I go in spurts. I'm fairly lean right now and could probably be really lean if I cleaned up my diet. I try to only cheat or take in simple carbs after a good hard workout but I have my days when I just seems to eat terrible all day

Ive just started Insanity "MAX" workouts and the length was a surprise but I'm seeing results in my legs and upper body...true about the lower abs..I can feel them under that nice layer of fat..
Havent figured how to incorporate the gym and the workouts together when Im done yet.
