I had last Friday off and the river wasn't crowded with mega cruisers so I decided to splash the little boat.

Put the boat in the st croix river in north hudson wi. Ended up just short of st paul mn on the mississippi. It was about 115 miles roundtrip according to the gps. Had to go through lock and dam #2.

I used around 25 gallons of fuel. I topped off twice while on the river. Marina fuel was $5/gal. Hit top speed of 65mph with 2 guys and 18gallons of fuel and a full cooler.

Also ran across an amphicar cruising around the st croix on my way back to launch.

All in all, not a bad way to spend 6 hours on Friday afternoon/early evening.
