Thread: Hot DSG issues

  1. 06-19-2012 10:08 PM #1
It has been hot here in Michigan the last few days (at least for us). I have noticed that when the tranny is hot, it starts to surge a little starting off from a stop. I have ad he mechtronics unit replaced two years ago. Anyone else experience this?

Hight temps create issues for the DSG and maybe you should consider changing your oil as it may have gone off.
I am having an additional DSG oil cooler fitted to minimise heat issues.

APR are about to release an aftermarket cooler for the DSG box.
They wont release one to me until the product has gone through their certification process, which is nearly complete. So i should be one of the first on the list to get it.

No problems in the past nine years with our TT's DSG during Arizona summers.

Interesting, never heard of this. I wonder how much it will cost. I'm having DSG issues myself and will be bringing in my car this week to check out the DSG and hopefully get some stuff changed on it. May consider the cooler after.
