Farmed out to the Feds? I know that we have to qual at 50yds in Basic, but our quarterly course of fire only goes out to 25yds currently. I can't imagine taking a 50yd shot anywhere but out in the fricking desert...
Sidenote: The German Buneswehr shoots their P8 (mil version of the HK USP) from 50 meters. That was an interesting time at the range... Well, that black smudge looks like an outline; might as well shoot!![]()

I thought you'd try to add a choice for, "Snub Nosed 12 Gauge."![]()
I just never took a liking to the J-frames. This is my second try, and it's just not for me. I like the L-frames, love the N-frames and K-frames (classic 4 in. Model 66, commence drooling), but the Js don't seem to work for me. It's a shame, because they're otherwise great pieces with a solid history, and hide/carry quite well.![]()

Please specify how responding to jamesr88's pic/post with a correct response is having a chip on my shoulder. You typed it, I read it, I posted it.
I prefer to use my experiences as a way to judge something. In this case, I own, I shoot and I've had exceptional experiences with my TCP. So when something functions well, I'll say it.(you know this or you wouldn't keep saying how you haven't had issues)
You'd prefer to read about them and then tell me what you've read. Thanks for passing on your reading experiences.
I've put about 700 rounds through my TCP. It's always gone bang.I personally would never trust my life to something "with no issues thus far." I want a gun I know will always go bang.
Should we continue?
#43
I've owned 2 and they both have been awful. Their 1911 and a snub-nose .357.
That's like saying that you've put 8,000 miles on a Maserati Bi-Turbo, and because of that it is reliable. 700 rounds is still breaking it in. Should we continue?

I notice a lack of previous TCP ownership. How many of those did you own?
If it has been fired 700 times, without fail, then it has been reliable. That's like saying that you've put 8,000 miles on a Maserati Bi-Turbo, and because of that it is reliable. 700 rounds is still breaking it in.
Also, the logic that it will have more rounds through it as I shoot it more should make perfect sense.
It's through this continued ownership and practice that it will either continue to be reliable, or not.
I'll let you know if the latter happens since you have a general fear for my safety.

Does Mrs/Mr Flash1.8t hold out that much in the bedroom to make you take your cheap Brazilian pistol that seriously and not be able to take a joke (biturbo comment since you're dense).
Please keep carrying that Taurus. The world has too many passive aggressive idiots anyway. If yours jams when you need it most, then oh well.
I'm picturing you sitting there in your cubicle thinking of a smug response, and it is making me laugh. Thanks for that![]()

Oh, I got it. It was cute and makes me feel inferior.
I may die, then you can post an "I told you so" thread. I'll make sure Mrs. Flash has this thread for follow up reasons. Please keep carrying that Taurus. The world has too many passive aggressive idiots anyway. If yours jams when you need it most, then oh well.
That's good, I'm not taking this very seriously.I'm picturing you sitting there in your cubicle thinking of a smug response, and it is making me laugh. Thanks for that![]()
I find your judgement of me very curious, especially given your rather witty (smug?) responses.
This is smug: I don't sit in a cubicle, I have a window office.

I bet "Mrs. Flash" has short hair, has you by the manhood, and will read it. Give her my screen name....yum
You spend the time to quote individual phrases and you use "curious" in a condescending manner. You are seriously the guy I thought you were. I shouldn't have made the cubicle responses. The janitor at my building has a window too.
Isn't this great people? All of this came from a guy that can't admit that Taurus guns aren't great AS A WHOLE.

This is actually getting fun.
To keep it on topic:
I carry a G26 or a S&W 342. Or as FlashRedGLS1.8T calls each of them, "3 hours salary."
(Added because he/she can't take a joke...I know flash said he/she had a wife but in these times we shoudn't be quick to judge)

Not getting the attention you crave?
FYI, multi-quote allows one to accurately answer and address others' posts. Try it out.
I haven't even been asked that, now that we are at that point, yes it is my understanding that Taurus does not have a stellar reputation. All of this came from a guy that can't admit that Taurus guns aren't great AS A WHOLE.
Though there is no reason to assume that my TCP will fail at an inopportune time.
I'm lol'ing big time sitting here! lol...L.O.L.I carry a G36 or a S&W 642. Or as FlashRedGLS1.8T calls them, "3 months salary."

Ok this is fun.
Just quoting to quote. You obviously don't see the point. Just admit Taurus as a whole sucks and I'll stop.
Go home to Mrs. Flash.
She's going to wonder why you still are at work late at night in that "window office" arguing with guys online. You guys had counseling for that.

Ok enough of the argument with Flasher.
Do you guys ever OWB with a long shirt to achieve the CCW effect? I have my permit in case I brandish accidentally, but I want to know what you guys/girls do with large pistols in non-ccw-friendly states.

You can't quit me.
I never have but my FIL does this on occasion with his S&W. Though he has always carried his P238 when I'm with him.Do you guys ever OWB with a long shirt to achieve the CCW effect? Daily carry... (doesn't fit the poll above.. alloy frame non 1911)
It's a bit on the large side. Not too bad in the winter with a jacket, kinda awkward in the summer. Probably will end up with Bersa .380 for summer carry, or if I manage to find a pile of cash laying around an H&K P7

I didn't vote only because up until a few days ago I carried a 9mm Walther PPQ. Picked this baby up on America's birthday. Going to go back and forth now between the Walther and this for carry duty. Absolutely love this gun.
Considered by everyone who's held mine as the most comfortable polymer semi auto handgun around.

I carry the HK (more capacity) more often than my 1911. MTAC holster for both (different Kydex).

^^ love that combo. the P30 is one of the best polymer guns i've ever put bullets through.

It's actually not horrible... I used to carry the P2000, but wasn't the biggest fan. I have had the opportunity to shoot the P30 V6 (German Law Enforcement DAO) - I like it a lot more than the P2000. It's a good evolution...
Now if they would only fix that damn mag release!![]()

You 3 should really give the PPQ a try if you liked the P30. Just as nice and comfortable, 1/2 the price. Same country of awesome.

I'm getting used to mine. Half pull until you hear/feel the slight click, focus, shoot.
It's certainly not a target pistol, but at 21ft it stays well within the circle.
A friend who's a better shot than me was hitting the bulls-eye with surprising consistency.
Nothing like having someone make you look like a fool with your own piece.

SR9c at the moment.
In the market for a smaller .380 though as I would like something a little smaller/lighter on these ridiculously hot days. Contemplating the LCP or the TCP.
Not to fuel the TCP debate and I really like the way the TCP feels in my hand, but this past weekend I rented the lcp and liked it quite a bit. I asked if I could rent a tcp to compare them and the owner said it wouldn't hold up to the abuse of being a rental gun.
Now I don't know if this was just prejudice against Taurus, but it definitely has me leaning towards the lcp.

Yea revolvers are all about staging the trigger until you get good with them to the point it is not really needed unless you are trying for great accuracy. I can empty a snubby at 7 yards as fast as I can, and there will be 5 holes in the target. All about practice.
Long trigger pulls are the name of the game when you are talking double action revolvers.![]()

I alternate between an XD40 and a Springfield 1911, on occasion I carry around a PF-9 but it hurts like hell to shoot.
