so heres goes nothing.... have a a 92 montana green gti with a vr6 swap and let me start by saying i my self did everything on the car so far but the swap i had bought the car perviously swaped. the car has never left me stranded its been very reliable bough the car off a friend 2 yaers ago and havent looked back since
heres a feew shots of the car when i first got it bone stock everything but the wheels
the first bit of work i ever did was taking off the borbet type e and snagging a set of mk3 vr6 speedlines off my buddy then it proceeded to the intake manifold...
at the time this was the first major bit of a tear down id have ever done on my car or on a vr scared the hell out of my self
and the final product
the manifold took about 4 1/2 hours to do by just hand sanding only no machine not too long after i head down to waterfest 16 thats were i picked up a set of used crystal clear cross rounds for the car
soon after the car was getting dropped a little to eliminate wheel gap only so i thought lol
this was only a day or two after i put the new kyb agx adjustable dampener struts in with a set of supsention techniques static drop springs with 1.25in for the front set up and 1.5in for the rear.
this is the springs fully settled
after lowwering it not much was done to the car for a bit untill recently about a moth and a half ago... i was walking around the junk yard im always at in billerica looking for a vr cam gear when i stumbled upon a flat black mkIII jetta all by its lonesome away from the rest of the vw's as i started to rip into the car and remove everything to get to the cam gear i noticed that the motor's head was recently redone and put back on from what i could see the head wasnt on the car for more than a few weeks prob so as i got further into the head i realized the cams were auto tech .262's i picked them up for a wooping 40 dollars.
same day the cams were picked up from the bone yard they went into my car.
after the cams were done i redid the main chain guide and neglected the tensioner guid big mistake lol otw to work last week the guid for the tensioner snaped on me so now as i sit here with no car being the reason i have decided to share with you my build story of how im in the processe of building a vrt . and this concludes the first of im guessing many post from me on this build thread. more to come soon guys im gonna be updating mostl likely every few days and if you have made it this far with my shenanigans thanks for reading![]()

I did not know that they made keyboards without a shift key or any punctuation. Learn something new every day.

Props to your build and your partial teardown. You know more about cars and can do more with them than I have or can.
Sorry the dude above is being a dick about punctuation. Forums are supposed to be a supportive place.
