    MK1 gear linkage

    Can someone please give me the length of the Connecror link( the long straight one) for the 5speed transmition. I upgraded from 4speed to 5speed but can't find ther 5th gear. Was told this link is to short. Please help.

    everything you need i think

    bently manual says the relay shaft rod for five speeds is 235.5mm long or 10 and 3/8th inches long

    also the the selector lever is longer.
