Last few months i've been feeling sluggish. My sleeping pattern hasn't been that great so maybe that's why but I can't seem to get into a good sleeping pattern. I exercise pretty regularly and eat fairly healthy - although I do grab some fast food on weekends after a night of drinking. I'm 23 so I'm assuming I shouldn't be this sluggish even with my current eating and sleeping habits as they've never really been that great but I was still full of energy even just a couple years ago.
Last year I got a routine blood test and everything checked out fine so unless I caught something in the last year then I dunno what's going on.
Anyone know of a good supplement to increase overall energy and possibly regulate my sleep?
TIA
Should mention that I take GNC's Megamen multivatimin sport almost daily.

At 23 you feel sluggish for two reasons:
1. Your eating is ****
2. You're ill or have a deficiency (which stems from #1 most often).
I'd be interested to see what your daily macronutrient and caloric intake is as well as your physical activity.
All the supps Chilled listed are bull****, and terrible for you.

Sleep is everything. I end up getting 6 hrs a night and feel awful perpetually. You're supposed to be getting 9 a night for reference. Before getting going on supplements, I highly suggest trying to optimize your sleep patterns first.
After that...
Starbucks. It's more heavily caffeinated than most coffee.
Biotest's Spike. That gets me to normal.

Probably not enough sleep and glycemic load is too high.

as said above, food and sleep are the problem.
otc supplements and caffeine products will give you a short burst, and a longer crash. Not to mention they will mess with sleep cycles making your problem worse.

Agree with everything (except Chilledman) that has been said. Even at a young age, sleep and diet are critical to your energy levels. I never paid much attention when I was in my early 20s, but looking back I realize that I could have benefited from more sleep.

Energy in humans should be looked at the same as racing cars. You aren't trying to gain time, you're trying to prevent losing time. Taking vitamins and supplements helps prevent deficiencies and keep you healthy. Sure you can take energy drinks, but those will actually make you more tired in the long run and cause cardiovascular damage. Try quitting all energy drinks and caffeine for a month and see how you feel. It's going to help your body get used to regulating itself again instead of being regulated by caffeine. You should be able to wake up naturally in the morning without caffeine and go to sleep at night when you turn the lights off and you're tired.

Will try and regulate my sleep, I feel that I'm just too stressed out with life in general as most early 20-somethings are after just finishing school and are looking to start their lives. A lot of the times though I feel like I just can't sleep, like I'd be really tired during the day and I could easily sleep but once night comes, I'm suddenly wide awake? So messed up lol.

I have the same problem so I'm going to use you as an experiment. Try this and let me know how it works for you:

this is mental habit problems probably.
for instance, this happens to many people who sleep with the TV on, big no no.
Also, this happens to many people who try to sleep too long. 5-6 hours is PLENTY for me, so if you're trying to get 8 and finding it difficult, that may be your problem.

Same here. 5 hours is enough for me, and 6 is perfect. Every morning at 5:45, like clockwork, I am up wide awake.

I try to get at least 7 hours of sleep a night. 8 or 9 every once in a while are great too.

TetsuoShima how are you doing with the sleep and energy thing?
I've been trying to avoid blue light after night hours and it's been helping. I installed f.lux on the computer so it changes color at sunset. I noticed it is easier to fall asleep now, but it doesn't help me to stay asleep. I don't know if this is related but my eyes are extremely sensitive to sunlight now. I feel like a vampire.
