    October 5th.

Liam Neeson returns as Bryan Mills, a retired CIA agent with a very particular set of skills that he acquired over a very long career who stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim from Albanian kidnappers. When Murad, the father of one of the kidnappers killed by the elite ex-CIA man over a year ago, swears revenge on Bryan and takes his wife hostage during their family vacation in Istanbul, Bryan enlists Kim to help find her mother and help her escape, while Bryan uses his brutal special forces tactics to save his family and systematically take out the kidnappers one by one. Bryan is in a race against time to save himself and his wife from certain death. With the help of Kim, Bryan must move throughout Istanbul past the kidnappers and into safety.... or die trying.

I really enjoyed the 1st one and would've been fine if they had left it there.

Saying all that, I'll still go see this new installment.

Bryan and takes his wife hostage during their family vacation in Istanbul, Bryan enlists Kim

Hahahaha...I'll go see this. I like Liam Neeson, and Taken is a decent flick (though it pales in comparison to Man on Fire, the ultimate revenge-movie). The story sure seems contrived as fook.

    Man on Fire is terrible.

I'll wait for this one to hit Redbox.

Sounds like the 3rd or 4th (or whatever) season of 24. Even the daughter's name is Kim.

    Pass.

Going into the theater with high hopes for Taken 2 was the first mistake you made .

Was looking at my movie app this weekend trying to find a movie for my girls and I to go to and saw this had 18% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Wow. Must be awful. Too bad. I loved the first one.

    Saw it last night
Wife loved the first one and she liked this one as well.

To me it is an entertaining movie. We went to an early show and for $10 for both of us to see it - not bad

    Saw it this weekend. Sucked.

The first one was good and should have stayed at one movie.

Final watched it at home tonight. Overall, a decent movie. But Maggie Grace's driving skillz during the chase scene

Wasn't she in the process of taking her driver's exam? And now she's drifting a Mercedes E Class in the narrow streets of Istanbul And it was a stick shift no less . Plus, on top of that, it seems like the transmission is a dog-leg shift pattern. I've been driving stick for almost 20 years and I think I would have a hard time with a dog-leg pattern. I could just picture myself backing into the bad guys.

BTW, if you liked both Taken flicks, check out The Man From Nowhere:

MAGGIE GRACE IS THE ROOFTOP BOMBER!

    KIM. FOCUS. THROW GRENADES

    KIM. FOCUS. DRIVE FAST

at least she's wearing shorts when shes running around.

so many bad things about this, i was laughing my ass off the whole time at how terrible it was. liam neeson had to be squirming in his seat at the premiere, especially at the van capture scene

    "left turn. 5, 6, 7, 8. a man playing a violin. right turn. 1, 2, 3, BIRDS."

and the final scene, where douche bag boyfriend sits down and everyone shares a laugh! WTF

I thought the part where Liam Neeson was playing the human inertial navigation system was pretty cool. But I don't think he could have heard the birds from where he was though.
