    I have a 91 GTI VR6 for sale. The car has been my daily for the last 4 months and drive absolutely great. actually it flies! the recaro interior is in great shape, no tears. Headliner is in great shape. The body is is good shape, it has your normal door dings for a car this age. a couple spots on the car have paint fade (sunroof and hood) but its no big deal. The only things that needed paint when i bought the car were the mirrors and the rear hatch spoiler and i've allready addressed that. NO RUST anywhere. not in the engine bay, not on the floors, nowhere that was the main reason for purchasing THIS particular car. Car had a single round front end but I switched it back to the original 4 light setup with tinted yellow inners and factory fog lights in the bumper. All lights are fully functional.

    Like i said, i bought from a fellow vortexer and it didnt run. I had motor taken apart from my VW mechanic and found one of the pistons had been broken along with one snapped valve and several bent ones. All the pistons were removed to check all rings were operating correctly. We sent head to machine shop, had it meticulously inspected and replaced 4 valves and all the seals. New gaskets and hoses all around and water pumps, tensioner, belts, filters, etc and have all the receipts to prove. Recently changed front upper strut mounts (OEM passat) and bilstein front struts. Also had axles replaced before i got the car back on the road along with new rotors and pads all around. also many other things that i cant remember right now, have to go through my receipts.

    Everything on the car is fully functional except the TACH. Car is md state inspected and MD emissions passed. This is a non-AC car as ar most of the VR6 mk2 swaps.

    price is $4400 sounds a little bit high to some but its not a mickey mouse swap. it was done by jrcmotorsports some years ago and its legit. When swap was originally done, the shop upgraded to the bigger passat brakes for better stopping. Engine is out of a corrado. email with any additional questions.

    More info on the swap please. What did the motor come out of etc?

    the swap came out of a 93 corrado. the expert at the machine shop said that he thought that whoever put in the new head, didnt know how to properly set the timing. there is a tool for it, so when i had to redo it all i made sure to source out the tool in order to do it correctly. the brakes were swapped as well to the bigger corrado brakes. it has a performance exhaust on it, not sure the brand but rather loud. when i had the motor apart, i had the manifolds painted black.

    when motor was rebuilt did you swap all the pistons or just the damaged one?

    I had the machinist carefully inspect all the pistons and rings and he advised to only change the one. (hard to find just one)

    car is AC delete as i think most of the VR swaps. The car is pretty loud becasue of the exhaust installed by the previous owner. Its a good loud though. I dont know how many miles are on the trans but it ****s nice and smooth. No drivings issues at all
