Hello, i jus picked up a MK4 jetta for my fience. im having electrical issues..
ISSUE ONE: Windows will not go down from inside the car (none of the windows? No window buttons work drive nor passenger but i can open n close the windows with the key through the door? the child saftey button n lock buttons both work fine same with side mirror adjustmant button..
ISSUE TWO: The trunk release button or the interior lights dont work as well? the gas release button works fine?
Can someone PLEASEE HELPP? Im at the point where im bout ta say eff power windows n throw in some cranks ha. unless someone can help me out with suggestions or anything!

I'd check the driver window control module (in the door). Those were known to go. I would also check all the fuses (not with a fuse tester as they can sometimes say the fuse is good when it's not).

My driver side button controls have gone out a couple times, but never noticed if it locked out the other controls, but I drive a two door and I'm pretty sure the Jetta has a lock on the driver side control. The part inst to expensive on ECStuning.com. But I'd also check all the fuses two. Even the ones on top of the battery.
