Alright, the time has come. I'm looking to sell my A3 as I'm driving cross country in January to live in LA for 6 months, so I'm looking for something under warranty...aaaand also I want some fun manual RWD action so I'm trying to get myself into a BMW 135i
Anyways, let me go over the basics:
2006 Audi A3 2.0T DSG
Brilliant Black exterior
Beige leather interior
96,900 miles (daily driven but I've since limited it to weekend driving so I can sell it)
Premium Package
Sun package (pull-up shades on rear doors and whatnot)
Opensky sunroof
Mods:
APR Stage I (265hp/300tq ish)
Magnaflow catback exhaust (mild but intoxicating when you get on it)
H&R Sport Springs
OEM Audi black grill + plateless insert (no S badge mount)
K&N Typhoon Intake
Dice Electronics I-Audi-R iPod/iPhone/iPad integration and charging + 4ft dock connector hardwired
Hardwired for Valentine One radar detector (hidden up on passenger side of rear view mirror)
Maintenance:
- Oil changes every 5k with Lubri-Moly/Liqui-Moly full synthetic or Castrol Syntec when it wasn't available.
- Timing belt/tensioners/water pump done at 85,000 miles
- Left/right CV axles and joints replaced at 90,000
- Camshaft follower replaced at 50k preventatively. No wear was found on the follower or cam lobe. Also, this car has the two piece cam.
- New thermostat going in this week (keeps throwing the code every once in a while so I'm replacing it)
- DSG fluid change at around 75k (gotta find the receipt for that, but it was around there)
So a bit of history on this car. I bought it in mid-late 2008 from Ira Audi with 22,000 miles on it. It was commercially registered in Florida before me. Since then it has been my daily and has taken me to and from school in Ithaca, NY (365 miles to and from). It has been dead on reliable and a ton of fun to daily with the APR software which was installed at around 50k. The only issues I've had with the car are with the CV axles which started clicking about 10k miles ago but were replaced recently by FasTrack Automotive in Peabody, MA. Never had a single issue with the cam follower or any of the known issues with these cars, but before Audi had extended the warranty on the cam follower/fuel pump issue, I had the follower replaced at 50k just to make sure, but no wear or damage was found on the outgoing part. The brakes are still good, they have around 35k on them but the pads look like they have a ton more life left in them and I believe they are Hawk pads. The car is immensely fun to drive, lighting off DSG farts at every shift and pulling like a train with the stage I software. In the winter I've never been stuck even up in Ithaca where the hills can be a tough obstacle while it is snowing.
Now for the not so good:
The car was in a front end collision last winter at 67,000 miles but suffered no damage other than needing a new front bumper, headlights, and a fender. Carfax is clean (link at the bottom), no reported damage and the car has had absolutely zero issues up to this point.
It's a daily, so there are a few areas that are less than perfect. The driver's side rear door has a small ding in it from someone opening their door into it and not leaving a note The bottom of the front bumper has a little push in way at the bottom where a rock must have hit but this is hardly noticeable. I'll take pictures of all of this. As for the interior, the outside-facing bolsters on the front driver/passenger seats are starting to crack I guess from getting in and out of the car. Audi told me this is common and there's nothing I can do about it, humph, and there's the odd clip here and there that may be broken.
The final gripe is that the car currently sits on its winter wheels, which are the beat up stock 17" avus-style wrapped in Blizzak WS-70s that were purchased mid-summer last year and put on in late Sept. Not ideal, but my main wheels(powder coated white Hartmann RS4 reps) suffered a bend and I haven't been able to swing for new summer tires and wheels. I'll include the RS4 reps with the car which are wrapped in pretty beat Yokohama S-Drives, but they need TLC. The blizzaks still have a season or two in them of winter driving.
PRICE DROP, asking $9000. This thing is priced to sell well below KBB. I gotta sell this asap. and I'm located in the Boston area. Give me a call or text at 781-258-2485 or PM me if you're interested.

Title is held at Audi Financial but loan will be paid off as soon the car sells and they will release the title.
UPDATE: PICTURES. Got it back today and shot a couple photos with my iPhone. I can shoot more specifics if needed but I needed to get these up here asap.
Side view. Lost a center cap as these are my winter wheels but I'm trying to source one before sale.
Interior. Sorry it's pretty messy right now but the car will be detailed inside and out before sale.
Cracked bolster on passenger side. Could have sworn I snapped one of the driver's side but it looks exactly like this on both front seats, only on the outer bolster.
Slight ding on the rear driver's side door due to someone opening theirs into mine. Not too bad, was quoted $150 to repair at a local shop.
Thanks for reading to this point if you're still here!

Dropping asking price to $9500 pictures this weekend. Been busy at work flipping the switch on a new network and haven't had much free time. Car is currently getting the hood repainted due to chips and as soon as it's back(they told me friday or saturday morning) I'll go out and shoot it.
