    Hello Everybody,

I'm new here, but also a VW owner.
I bought the car on the 6th of Juny. This is not the car which i wanted to buy. The original one was a 20th Anny GTI, but the owner was a liar and he sold the comlpete interior of the car and he forget to tell this small info to me... Never mind, i found this one on the same day, not too far away from me.
Th car was almost full-extra, it has full leather interior, 2 airbags, seat heater, tempomat, climatronic, power windows and mirrors which ones are heatable too.
All of the electronic things are working properly.
Here are some sh*tty phone photos from the car when i bought it:

    More pictures soon...

The first step what we do is the interiors cleaning. We take out the front seats, and the good things are started... I hoovered the carpet almost 4 hours, because a previous owner delivered his/her white dog in the car... The dashboard and the carpets are cleaned by one of my friends. He helped to me in lot of things in this 3 week while i got the car...
So here are a few pics from the interior:

And sorry for the phone pictures again.
My plans with the interior are a bit expensive i think.
The first step will be the flocking of the dashboard.
I must put on a temporary steering wheel. I've got two. A 32 cm raid with the original or a momo f1 concept horn button and a 35cm suede OMP Corsica replica which is 9cm deep. Here are the pics from them:

I need advice, because i love both wheels and i don't know which will one will be isntalled...
The definite steering wheel will come from a G4 r32 or a G6 R, maybe i will be able to install the R's... I afraid from the price of it
Pedals wheel come from a g4 r32 with the gear knob too. I have no idea about the e-break, bu i wan't to replace the stock one with a newer or beautifuller one. Maybe with a custom one...
The dials will look like this:

All green leds will be replaced with brighter ones.
I don't want to install big music to the car, i will replace the stock ones with some better ones an i will buy this headunit: KENWOOD
These are my plans with the interior. But as i know myself some crazy ideas will wildl y appear :O

Some modifications were done while i bought the car.
The grille and the badges were painted to black. the mirrors and the side moldings are folied to matte black. The rear wiper and the gti and syncrowords are gone too.
On the next week the car will go lower with 60 mm and temporary summer tires/rims will be installed and the rear/front lights will be smoked.
This is how it looks like now:

Lack of time and not endless wallett may cause a little slowness to this project...

I made some pics from the current status of the car
The only change is visible on the rear section. The rear badge plus the stuff above the numberplate ( i dunno the name of it ) are painted to black.
    here it is:

The exhaust will be replaced with a stock one, or only the tip will be replaced with a TDI like one.

And here are my "new" springs. They are FK"s and the car will go down with them only with 6cms but it's just temporary, they will be replaced with adjustable coilovers as soon as possible.
Please forgive about the rims :S 16" steelies will come soon with golf4 hubcaps and 195/45 yokohama a539's.
Here are some shots of the -6cms coilovers:

And thats all for today. Updates coming soon.

I don't understand why you're changing all the nice painted bits to black. If they were damaged, fine...but don't go too far, you're on the verge of ruining the look in my opinion.

Looks great though, especially the interior. I've wanted those door cards for so long now!

The bit above the number plate is called a "plinth".
WTB: late mk3 front "GTI" emblem in red. PM me with a pic.

I like it when the body and the trim is not the same color but it's only vinyl, so i can take it down anytime when i want And later the car will be covered with vinyl too.
If the temporary look will be ready it will be something like this:

Yeah, they are dual... but i cannot use them :/ It's not from a syncro so we installed just the red springs to the stock shocks :/
The first ones are fitted perfectly. And it takes about 5 hours to install them :/

At the last week we made something.
A "new" set of shocks and springs were installed.
The set is not from a syncro Golf3. The front coilover fits perfectly but the rear... We used the springs and the stock shock temporary. So the car went down with 6cms. It looks much better than the stock height Here are two pictures with the steelies:

The summer rims are installed too. I get them with the car, so they are temporary too:

After i buy adjustable coilovers it will go lower
    Updates coming soon...

The deep suede steering wheel were installed on the weekend. It's temporary untill i buy my dream wheel It will be A 6 GTI's, R's or R lines steering wheel, or maybe a new TT wheel... I don't know yet
    Which will be better?

    or

    Until here's the current one:

    Here's a little update.
On saturday we installed the new wheels.
They are 6.5j16" steelies with 195/45R16 Yokohama A539 and i installed also my Golf4 hubcaps.
I love them so much I hope you like it too.

You must know that this is my daily b*tch, so i can't put it lower to the sh*tty hungarian roads if i buy some adjustable coilovers i try to go lower for about 2 cm's.
    And thats all for now.
I hope that soon some polo 6n2 door handles will come, and maybe soma USA bumpers will come this year.

    And heres an update.
The rear bumper was changed to a GT Special bumper. As far as i know it's pretty rare. It's made of two coloured textured plastic. If anybody knows more info about these bumpers please tell me!
And here are two pics from the part:

And it's a closer look at the bumper. Check the colours!

I trying to make it more unique, but it's not easy. The next things I need are USA bumpers and rear wing with built in brake light. If anybody know how the shipping cost to Europe, Hungary, please tell me!

That looks like an awesome starting point for a build. We didn't get syncro mk3's in the united states.. although we do often take for granted how many vr6 cars we have. I'm a big fan of 20th Jahre Editions too.. but we never got those either. I have a silver arrow vr6 gti and I think I've gone for a very similar look on the inside as you're looking to achieve... I did however luck out with having "97 Drivers Edition" interior parts on my 98 gti. As much as I love the mk6 gti seats and steering wheel I established that they were way too big to fit in a mk3. The omp wheel you have will look awesome paired up with some nice seats. Here's a couple pics of my silver arrow:

My plans with the lights are similar to yours. I wan't to install 3.5 handbrake and shiftknob and boot, cause i like the OEM+ look Maybe i will delete the rear seats and change the leathers to some RS6 front seat or GT3. But it's far away, i think...

RS6 recaros and GT3 seats are two of my favorite seats.. but I think many people would agree that they're simply too big for these cars. I have recaro speeds and they're almost too big.. looking backwards is a daunting task. Here's a pic of Mike Mccoys h2oi winning jetta coupe with massive gt3 seats:

this is the only other interior pic I have

in my opinion, oem mk3 recaros re-wrapped would be perfect

Yeah, they are big, but looks so good The oem recaros aren't bad idea, but as long as i got my rear seats the leathers will do (i hope it's the right expression)
BTW that jetta looks awesome and i like the BBS' on your picture!

Today i bought some new stuff.
Some black interior parts are came with the post, and a vento front end is arrived too.
The interior parts will be cleaned in the weekend, they are a bit dirty, and soon two black rear interior lights will come from a b4 passat variant. Pics soon
The vento front end is matte black, it will be folied to silver as soon as i will repaint the bonnet and the lower part of the grille. The badge will be matte black or maybeorange, i don't know so far.
In the begining of october two textured bumpers will arrive with orange indicators and i will buy VR6 lip too. The side indicators will be replaced with oem orange ones too.
And i will put yellow stipe to the front and the rear bumper too. I will post pics ifany thing will happen
Until here are some shot of the new stuff!

    The black parts

The light is ready for some cleaning and the handlers will be cleaned too

    Hella front light:

The lamps, the grill and the bonnet:

    Thats all for now.
