Interesting observation. I myself did not realize this until I visited Europe and noticed the vast majority of Mk3's were 1.4 and 1.6 equipped cars. Just take a look at what a Mk3 1.4 engine looks like and that would be enough for those with an ABA 2.0 or even the Canadian 1.8 8valve guys to go outside this very moment and hug their car.

I found a 1996 Golf Syncro here the US. I will be using it to build a 1998 Cabrio VR6 turbo syncro. Here's pics of the syncro and my first Cabrio build. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

That cabby looks great! I want to upgrade my cars running gear and breaks to the VR6 syncro's, and also want to do som modifications to the engine
Soma cabby parts are needed by me (black sunvisors, dimple dash with red lighted switches etc...)
Have you got a thread too?

Thats all for now. On the next weekend the black headliner will be installed with black pillarcovers and sunvisors...

      And rims for this year:
Borbet type A 7.5j16" Et30 all around, because syncro...

How hard was it to find the Jetta frontend in Europe? Also it looks like you're running the stock gold front fenders. Is that so?

Gold? They look silver to me. The fenders don't have to change for a Mk3 front end swap.

I like this car, it looks perfect I can't say O'd change anything, really. Except maybe add a rear wiper, lol.

Right, I meant golf. Sorry. Typing too fast. Good to know about the fenders though. Does the radiator frame need to be changed? I know it did on my MK2...

Thanks for the honourable mentions! It's a pretty good feelin', when somebody say some good words for what I've done with my baby

If you want to install a jetta front end you need to replae the headlights, the front grille, and the bonnet. Every other thing is compatible

Btw i wish it will be all wheel drive... I must replace the old rear differential Maybe I will install a mk4 diff there, and than I will get a switchable AWD

The hole on the hatch door for the wiper will be deleted in next year Sometimes I miss the rear wiper, but it looks better for me without it

I'm 100% sure that lip isn't a Rieger. Look cloesly and maybe you can see who made it. I'm very curious about it.

My friend told me that who originally bought about 2002, and theres no info about who made it, because it was repaired before i get it :/ I think it's a Votex lip, but I believe him, that this is Rieger
Rare stuff, and thats the most important

BTW I think this lip is the closest to mine and its votex
