I have Gran Tourismo 2 memories of driving this. I also have a model of this car I got many years ago.

This is a thread to discuss concepts or working pre-production cars that never made it to production. List the best ones. I am not looking for bizarre concept cars. I want to see AWESOME cars that came SO close to production, but then never made the cut.
My contribution:

The Coupe 60
The replacement of the Pontiac GTO/Holden Monaro was cancelled because Sales numbers where not high enough to warrant a New Model
So the standard 4 door model (Pontiac G8/ Holden Commodore) was the only one developed

Maybe people could explain their pictures?
Some of these cars I remember from the late-1980's through mid-1990s, but I have no recollection of their backgrounds, etc.

Thoughts expressed are those of the poster and not those of some long dead guy who I choose to speak for me.

That 99 charger looks pretty good even by today's standards, but not as a charger. Too castrated on the nose for a muscle car. Interior would need a little updating but it's not bad either.

The concept was actually a very forward thinking concept.
But the actual car they made was literally a taped together joke that would barely even move under its own power.
But think about how far ahead of its time it was.
Today advanced transmissions sell cars, and the Dale concept was sold by an advanced tranny.
