This is a thread to discuss concepts or working pre-production cars that never made it to production. List the best ones. I am not looking for bizarre concept cars. I want to see AWESOME cars that came SO close to production, but then never made the cut.

    My contribution:

    Dodge Copperhead:

    2005 Lotus Elise - 6-speed
    2012 Mini Countryman S - 6-speed
    2013 Subaru Crosstrek XV - 5-speed

I have Gran Tourismo 2 memories of driving this. I also have a model of this car I got many years ago.

The Avus was an Audi. Not too different in concept as they were both supercar show cars never really intended for production.
Your picture was of a GT90.

    Technically not a car.
Anything with less than four wheels is considered a motorcycle. (shrug)

    The Coupe 60

The replacement of the Pontiac GTO/Holden Monaro was cancelled because Sales numbers where not high enough to warrant a New Model

So the standard 4 door model (Pontiac G8/ Holden Commodore) was the only one developed

Maybe people could explain their pictures?

Some of these cars I remember from the late-1980's through mid-1990s, but I have no recollection of their backgrounds, etc.

That 99 charger looks pretty good even by today's standards, but not as a charger. Too castrated on the nose for a muscle car. Interior would need a little updating but it's not bad either.

Today advanced transmissions sell cars, and the Dale concept was sold by an advanced tranny.

    ZING!

Also, the Dale was never sold, only the idea of the Dale, shares of the company, and dealership franchises were sold.
This is what I've come to know from movies as the "long con".
    Needs to be a movie.

The Dale was a three wheeler (like the GX3) so don't you mean motorcycle?
