Thread: 020 to 02A conversion, do I have everything I need?

    This is what I have:

    • 4 Cylinder 02A Transmission
    • TDI Starter
    • Sachs pressure plate
    • Sachs O2A clutch disc
    • Resurfaced 02A flywheel
    • 02A Cable clutch slave lever (02B 141 708A)
    • Modified Honda clutch cable
    • 02A Shifter cables and box
    • Custom A1 to 02A speedometer cable $50

This is what I bought to swap a 02A in a mk1. But I changed my mind and I want to swap it in a mk2. I'd like to know if I miss anything here (I want to keep the cable clutch) and by experience if the honda cable clutch cable fits in a mk2??

    Thanks

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the custom cable? I'm no expert, but the rest of your list looks complete, going through the same stuff myself

Do you have all of the clutch cable swap parts? all i can see atm is just proper bolts and nuts, new crank fw and PP bolts, starter bolts.bellhousing bolts. Exhaust clamps when you drop the exhaust.gaskets maybe?

If you want the shift rods that are heim joints stainless steel go here: http://www.clausvonessen.de/pi38/pd1332.html. This is what I'm doing to my MK2 02A conversion. What I don't want is any cables other than the clutch cable running to this trans. I want to also keep my shifter box if possible. I don't want a tower cables hydraulics or any of that stuff if I can help it. I know that there are some kind of actuators that can be implemented.
