...I'll let you know when it gets home!

-button to enable the light-up-your-pathway delayed feature.

-But before you get TOO excited, if you don't have things like auto-dimming rear view mirror, upgrading to this feature requires that you first replace your windshield...

I looked into it, but I'd never use it... so screw that noise!

VWAddict. you don't need anything for this switch to operate. The coming home feature is part of the switch itself and it's a timer (30 seconds by default) when it's ON.

    Pics of the rear?

if this has a separate plug for the coming home, then you'd HAVE to have something else for it to operate, -right? -In other words, something to plug into it, or am I missing something?

You are correct. Has to be wired from the factory. But if you want coming home you can enable it in vag com and use a repiar wire to make one ground connection. No need for the switch but it would be nice to have the switch though.

Does this switch have rear fog?

Mine A3 was originally with coming home, and as you are suggesting you do need to have wiring for that.
Yes it has a rear fog. Here are like pictures (courtesy of ecstuning)

Is this a switch that you purchased to enable the rear fog on your car? PM sent, interested if this is the Euro switch with rear fog.

    Thanks!
