Anything which passes the signal will be fine.

Saw a video that said a High Speed cable with ethernet could not be used with a HDMI switch because it would put a high resistance on the line. It didn't say which cable was best for HDMI switches. If I want to have 1080p capabilities on my DVD,ROKU and cable box which cable is best. I don't need ethernet usage. Thanks.

To better explain my earlier post, the HDMI switch is putting the high resistance on the line. The "cure",according to Monoprice, is to use a 24AWG cable instead of 28AWG.
