anyone done resonater delete on gli with a video

thinkin about doing this but i don't kno if it will sound good.. my friends gf has done this on her audi with the same motor as us and its sounds really good, almost what i could picture mine sounding like from factory

It sounds really good I did a highway run and no drone. You can hear it with the windows up. It sounds kinda airey on flim but doesn't in person. It's got tone now. This is what it should be from factory.

is it me or do the GTI's sound a lot louder stock then GLI's? This kind of sounds like the GTI imo...not bad, but still sounds like its struggling to breathe! AWE exhaust wont be hear for another 3 weeks so maybe ill do this just to hold me over...

Do you have a downpipe or tune? I have a cat back but my wife thinks its to loud and I was thinking about taking my resonater out also.

I have full stage 2 tune stage 1 & 2 carbinio intake 3" downpipe with custom 2 1/2" cat back. Its a lot louder than just resonater delete. I'm my opinion its sounds perfect but since we have a newborn that does ride in my car so.... I still have it and may put it back on 1 day. Having the exhaust done already my rear section was cut above rear suspension and I can easily try to c how loud this is in person. Hard to tell in video sometimes.

OP, sounds good. For the interior sound, wondering if you disconnected the Soundaktor, and what we're hearing is the actual car, not simulated sound.

i have no other mods on my car. it is bone stock. the only mod now on the car is my lighting mods and the redo delete.

ok to start. the delete is really simple but you'd need someone to bend you a new piece of pipe. i paid like 40$ out the door. my gf rode in the car before and after. the after was funny she never even noticed, and finally she said did you do something different to the car.

the sound you herd in the car was intact my car. i had the windows down, and as you can see the phone was pretty much sitting on the cup holder area. i will try to do another vid without the windows down
i was pretty certain i was gonna get some kind of exhaust. honestly this is enough for me i really like the way it sounds my buddy has a 04 r32 and he did the flapper mod, i love the way his car sounds, when i started mine he said wow that sounds really good and he had herd it when it was factory

Nice think im gonna stop at a local exhaust shop and have this done and c how it is with downpipe. I'm sure itbaonds better in person compared to cell phone video

I will. I'll try and get it on in the next few days. I'm not looking for real loud I just wanna hear it a little more. In my other posts are my dyno run and exhaust sound it way deeper than stock or my buddies magnaflow setup

I did the same with my autobahn. I took the resonator out and replaced it with a pipe and also took out the axleback and just had straight pipes that Y'ed out to my two muffler tips. Looks OEM to me and also the sound is a little louder than the video.

It's a clean growl IMO. Each morning when I start it from a cold start it has a mean growl. Almost sounding like a WRX with their boxer sound.

Not annoying like a Honda ricer. It's Perfect.

I still get to enjoy my music playing at about 25% in loudness without having the exhaust competing with my music when I drive at the freeway

That sounds great! Should have come from the factory like that. Looks like I know what I'm doing this weekend.
