Hey guys, been kind of pissed with one of my cars.

Its the 318ti, I bought it with the intention of driving 3-4 days of the week for a while and eventually taking it apart and restoring it to 318ti M-technic specs.

Lately, its been giving me so much **** I've been thinking about selling it and just forgetting about it(Like yesterday the radiator hose blew in my face causing burns all over my arms and chest).(Fan conector was loose)

Have you ever been in a situation like this? Feeling like giving up on a car you really like? That you have plans for? Simply because "it" is not trying to deserve what you have planned for it.

Eventually I want to restore it and have it looking like this(fairly easy).....So, Should I have more paintience.....

Future ex-wife at the time had one of those. We ditched it so fast that it put burn marks on the carpet.

Really, you are giving up on one of the most user-serviceable vehicles evar? Oh wait, it gets worse over the years... stick to your 2002's and your E21's. "MAYBE" E30, but those are full of fail these days, too.

I've given up on plenty of project cars I realized after I bought them I wasn't going to do anything with. When that happens I'll usually somehow end up swapping it for another project that I really like. Never ending cycle.
I've got a bunch of high end vintage audio gear I'm clearing out, restored Marantz 4270 - better than new condition; Pioneer SX-5590, 8/10; Concept 16.5, 8/10 cosmetically - 10/10 function. Various high end vintage speakers: Rectilinear Research, AR, Kenwood, Infinity, McIntosh, Leslie 251. PM me for details, clearing out to finance home theater upgrade.

I'm assuming you are the op on a different account. The Ti was a huge mistake.

I hear where you are coming from, and I understand. However, lets get real. If you are going to throw in the towel on that car, then you probably shouldn't buy anything else you have to work on. Go buy a new Honda with a warranty. Try doing a motor swap, engine build, or a frame off resto. That is aggravating and expensive. Only thing that is expensive and aggravating on a 318ti is the California roof. Thats half E30 half E36. All it is, is nuts, bolts and material. So you didn't plug the fan in all the way, it got hot, pressured, and the weakest link blew and it burned you. Not the cars fault. Nice looking car BTW. No grab some wrenches, and don't be a *****.
