Hey everyone im salvador, i live in the wenatchee valley (honda capitol of the world lol) and i feel like the only "dubber" around here besides one of my buddies who drives an mk5 jetta. After the leavenworth drive this year i managed to find and hang out with TWO other cool guys in town driving an mk1 rabbit and an mk5 gti. Are there any other volkswagen enthusiasts here in town? My GTI needs company and i think it would be cool gettin some dubs together/hanging out with fellow vw'ers

    This is my baby

I just moved from Wenatchee a couple of months ago.
If you need work done check out (does this violate any rules?)
Nickels (Nickles?) Volkswagen. I'm in Wenatchee right now
with my Caddy at Nickels. Bad news though... he's looking
to retire soon!!! Don't know where I will get my work done
    after that.

I'm driving a modified (for fuel economy) '81 Caddy with an'83 Jetta turbo diesel.
So far my best has been 51.417 MPG. The biggest trick that worked for me was
to remove my foot from the injection system.

Unfortunately, by the end of the summer i only managed to make up enough money to pay my mom back what i owed her for the car. I pulled the dent out as much as i could and to the point where it wouldn't rub anymore, people say it looks way better but it still looks blah in my opinion.
And hell yeah man that would be awesome

    I'm here too.
Always have been.... you'll see me in one of the various Audi Avants I habitually own- moved on from VW's. I've found a couple that I finally can live with 03' A4/ 6mt and an 03' S6. Or the Little Blue Dune Buggy on staggered Fuchs in the warmer months.
My wife will be in the S6 most of the time...don't try and race her.

Sure...I'll go back a few years with some cars you might have seen around. I'v owned over 100 Vw's/ Porsches and Audi's..so this will be brief~
    My 60 S-90 I restored:

    68 SWB 912 w/ 2.1L T4, Raby DTM cooled:

59' SC ...it went back to seattle a couple years ago:

My *MINT* condition, last day of production 16V, ..it was loaded. And mint.
Seriously. It was delivered to the dealer on Dec 31st 1992.

    01' "4 door GTI" . I really did like this car, stg1 full Recaro / 20th Interior

here's the Buggy, always a work in progress,

The A4 Avant I drive now, and my wifes former B5.5 Passat (gone)

    Here's another A6 Avant I had:

My S4 (and A4 in background) when I got it...now owned by a friend.

    The Ol'd ladys S6. This thing.....this thing.. . it's a beast.

There were dozens and dozens before those and in between.. but now I'm left with the buggy, the S6 and my A4 Avant.
    I'm up for a ..get together..whatever...

And.. my old 56' Ghia. Yeah..I know. The serial # on it was 931.

And my 914. This thing was fun too!

And this thing, ...just some junk,

And a Dormobile I fixed up. Put another 2.0L DTM engine in this too:

And a Doubledoor camber I had a few years ago...I never restored it, but should have.

Here's An original Manx 2 I had. I think I must have owned 5 or 6 Buggies, only 3 of them were original Manx's.

That doesn't include about 50 split window busses, a dozen various old Bugs, 3 Vanagons, several other Audi's and water cooled VW's.

Just stumbled upon this thread... I am moving to Wenatchee in March with my girlfriend and daughter. Headed to Wenatchee Valley College for school

Here's a couple pictures of my B5 Passat Wagon we will be bringing.

PS: Any areas you guys recommend staying away from as far as living? I have heard that staying away from the south end is a good idea always looking for more input though.

Sweet jesus, nice car man. I go to wvc also, as far as what areas to stay away from i'd agree with the south wenatchee area. I use to live in this area and a few of my uncles that also lived in this area had their windows busted and stuff jacked multiple times. It got to the point where they would no longer lock their cars for fear of getting their windows shattered. It's nowhere near as bad as it use to be but there are still a couple evil people roaming those streets lol. I'm pretty sure if you explore the town a little bit you'll be able to make out which areas are sketchy. Welcome to dub town in advance

And yes bump for the Wenatchee dubs!

Awesome Variant... I never got around to fixing up our old B5 Wagon, but sure did like it.
As far was where to live- what you want to stay away from is generally anywhere that in centrally located that has some sort of alleyway, main street around the schools etc..
Wenatchee isn't a large city and the real problem (like any town) is the warmer months when 'kids' are out and walking around late and all night. They walk down the allies and **** with everything they come across.
Basically look at a map and draw a straight line between any of the main parks / schools and Taco Bell, then stay a couple blocks away.
need anything when you get here hit me up, I live just up 5th from the WVC.
    Bob

p.s. That wagon is going to take some damage if you drive it around that low all the time. Especially in the winter.

Thank you for the information! And as far as the wagon taking damage, it is on coils so it will be raised back up during the winter months over there
