I get about 15 PSI and 23inhg with a APR st1
Sounds like you are in limp mode.
clear codes or unplug the battery and see if it acts normally. If it does it will only be a temp fix though.

Not sure whats up, scanned the car with vagcom but no underlying faults come up. I drive the car and no matter what it will not boost past 5 and the inhg is always at zero or close to it.
Not sure if its a boost leak or limp mode. Would limp cause no inhg or is that a leak? Car has a apr stage 1 chip and is a 1.8t so i should be seeing around 15inhg and about 15 psi of boost right?

also make sure that your not in valet mode. If the car is in limp mode, you will know because most likely wont go past 4k RPM. When did you get APR #1 ?

Well I just picked up the car a few days ago and didn't realize this problem till I hooked up the boost gauge. I am showing 0 "inhg" and max 5psi of boost, but I can definitely push the car past 4k RPM. I am showing no codes or faults in vagcom, so I guess my next step would be to unhook the battery and I suppose a boost leak test?
I was reading online and the lower the inhg number reads makes it a higher chance that there is a boost leak somewhere?
Any other opinions?
Thanks guys.![]()

most likely boost leak. you shoyld be showing 20 inhg. where did you hook up the gauge also. if you used the wrong line it would also show zero

If there is no fault code u should not be in limp mode. Why would the engine go limp if the ecu doesn't get a fault? So IMHO rather valves / boost leak issues.
