'02 Beetle 1.8T Autmatic - G68 Speed sensor replaced, now it shifts hard

Hey folks, I replaced the G68 transmission speed sensor due to P0722 and P0730 codes. The car will shift fine now into all gears. However, seemingly between gears 2 and 3 it shifts very hard between the 2. If I didn't know better, I would think someone installed a hard shift kit! Codes have cleared out and have stayed away, but I don't know what's causing the hard shift. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the fluid level and/or replaced the fluid recently? Replacing the fluid and filter on my 2003 Jetta made a big difference.
