I had koni yellows with H&R sport springs on my old mkIII jetta. That combo made the car a blast to drive spiritedly on back roads. Not too much of a drop but it handled very well.

I want to lower my Jetta 2.0, i got some koni yellow but they are not installed and will buy a refresh kit with springs. I do not want to affect the handling to much... Wanted to know if a 1.5 drop is gonna affect the handling a lot or maybe a little, i do not do auto cross or anything like that, sometimes i go to a track day and do a couple of laps.
I will not lower more than 1.5", 2" is to much for me.
Right now i'm thinking between 1" or 1.5".

IF you don't want to lower 1.5" or slightly more, you have to go with OE Sports or springs that are like them (either H&R OE Sports, or Neuspeed Sofsports, or Eibach Pro-Springs), all of these will lower the car 1" or less.
Study the manufacturer's specs for the individual spring sets. Some lower the car the same amount front and rear, and others will lower the front more than the rear.

Will a 1.5 drop affect the handling to much? I know the 1" is the limit of lowering a mk4 but would like to know if that 0.5 affect the handling a little... If is to much then i will go with 1" drop
