Thread: Reversing the DSG Tiptronic Action OR Fitting Paddles?

  1. 06-27-2012 01:18 AM #1
    Folks,

I have an '08 Eos with the 2 litre turbo & DSG.

It's a great car - no troubles after some initial warranty work on computers.

I would like to reverse the Tiptronic action on the DSG. I have done this in the past on other (simpler?) cars, and it was merely swapping a couple of wires around on micro switches.

Well I have stripped the centre console out, and the Lever module looks very daunting. I have tried to interpret the Elsa wiring diagrams but I cannot make any sense out of them.

I note that S2T offers a paddle conversion, but it appears to be a replacement for OE paddles, which my vehicle does not have. I have emailed them, and am waiting for a reply.

Any thoughts on how I can reverse the Tiptronic action and/or fit paddles?

    thanks

    Bernie

this was discussed in the MKV R32 forums.. $$$$$$ seems to be the issue. im sure you could go about reversing the wires somehow but whomever needed this done got over it quick.

The original poster has probably given up on this mod by now, since the thread has been dead for quite some time.

This Eos forum is the quietest of the 2. I do, however, frequent both.

The other one is "Eos Club" which is relatively busy.
